So I did hear about this the day after it happened, but I didn't have wifi so I couldn't post it then.
I can't believe Christina Grimmie was killed. When my friend texted me "Christina Grimmie is dead", I thought her autocorrect had made a mistake, but then a second friend said the same thing. I had no wifi until hours later before I could confirm the news myself.
Why would someone kill her like that? It just isn't right... And in front of her fans, too! I can't imagine how horrible it would be to witness your favorite singer's murder.
Christina was actually one of my favorite artists and this is the first time a celebrity's death actually meant something to me. I was listening to music on my iPod later on and "I Bet You Don't Curse God" came up on shuffle and it made me cry.
Christina has a special place in my heart. I had watched her videos on YouTube for I'm not sure how long. Then I was able to see her live when she opened for Selena Gomez in 2013 at the Stars Dance Tour. I voted for her every week when she competed on The Voice the next year.
I'm absolutely in love with her voice and it doesn't feel real that she is gone and we will never actually get another song from her again. Now whenever I remember back to the Stars Dance Tour, one of the best moments of my life, it'll make me sad because I'll remember that Christina is no longer here.
She was such an inspiration and she left this earth way too soon. I never got the chance to meet her, but I'm going to miss her dearly.
Rest in peace, Christina. Team Grimmie will never forget you. <3
