Should I Enter?

This isn't a song, but a question (that probably won't be answered until it's too late.). There is a country singer named Chad Elliot coming to my school on Thursday. Today is the deadline for a poetry contest. You can enter an original poem and Chad Elliot will put it to music and sing it at his concert on Thursday. I kind of want to enter. I would send My Song For You because I feel like that would be the song with the best chance to win.

The thing is, it's already in song form, not poetry. Though I guess songs are a form of poetry. Also, he would be making his own tune for it and it would be weird if I won and heard these lyrics with a completely different sounding tune. And it's not a country song. I don't really listen to country music. (I like a couple country songs though.)

Anyway, do you guys think I should enter My Song For You in this lyric contest? I think no matter who wins, all the poetry is going to be displayed at the concert and I'm kind of nervous about that too...

The song I would enter is somewhat meant for a girl to sing though, isn't it? Or could you guys see a guy singing it too?

Someone give me an answer: should I risk entering or just not bother?

(This is exactly what goes on in my mind all the time... I over think everything and I find every single small flaw and it becomes a huge insecurity.)
