I wrote this one a couple years back and actually forgot about it. I found it today after looking through my old songbook. This song is about having a close friend get into a relationship and that friend basically forgets you exist. It's also a little different because the verses I wrote are sung almost as a rap.
Verse:
I'm sorry but I gotta get this off my chest
You know we've always been the best
Of friends but something's changed in your eyes
I've realized it for awhile and I've called it out
A few times but you brushed it off
Just like I didn't even make a sound at all

There was a simpler time when
Relationships weren't always on our minds
Now they're flooding yours

And those nights we'd stay up forever
