I WON!!!!!!

This is once again about that Chad Elliot contest thing. As the title says: I WON!!!

During the songwriting workshop, Chad said that he liked how I already had it in song form whereas most of the entries were in poem form. He asked me if it was already a song with a melody and all that and I told him that it was. It was really weird hearing how he interpreted it. He sang it completely different than I would but it was so cool to see someone else's take on something that I created. It was just such an awesome experience.

Then he had a concert tonight where he performed some of his songs and then he finished the show by singing mine. I lost track of how many people complemented me on the lyrics and now people want to hear the real version of My Song For You.

I showed Chad a video of me singing it my way and he said it was good and that I should keep singing. I was complemented by a professional singer!

I'll get a video up of Chad Elliot singing my song soon and I'll post it here if anyone wants to see it.

I'm just so happy today. It was a good day and perhaps a bit of a start to a possible songwriting career?
