Chapter 8

Alex's PoV

Today Tobin was seeming a bit off. I didn't know what was bothering her or what. I decided to ask her about it.

"Hey Tobin. Is there something wrong? You seem a bit off lately."

"No. Nothing's wrong." She smiles. She doesn't look like she's telling the truth but I let it go. If she doesn't want to talk about it then I won't push to talk.

"Are you sure?" I ask though I know the answer.

"Yep, I'm sure. We're best friends right? I'd tell you if there was something bothering me." I nod my head. I look at the time. I'm supposed to be at Servs in an hour.

"Ok. Well I gotta go clean up. I'm going over to Servs house later." Her head dips a little. I wonder why. I turn around and go to my room.

I take a shower get clean clothes on and head out to Servs house.

"So what do you have planned?" I ask when I get to his house and we've sat down.

"How about we watch movies?" Serv suggests.

"Sounds good to me!" We put a movie in and we cuddle on the couch. We had been watching movies for a while before I looked at the time. It was 10:30.

"Hey I gotta go. Curfew is at 11:00 and its 10:30."

"Ok. Well goodnight babe."" He kisses me. He deepens the kiss and I have to stop him before he goes to far.

"Goodnight." I say as I pull away. He gives me one last kiss before I head out to my car.

I start heading home and I turn on some music. I guess I had dozed off for a moment cause the next thing I knew I was in the hospital.

My head hurt. I open my eyes and I see Tobin there sleeping in her chair. Her head and hand are on my bed.

"Tobin." I say quietly.

"Five more minutes." She moans. Then she must recognize my voice. "Alex!" She shouts.

"Shh." I laugh.

"You were in a car crash. When I got the call I didn't know what to do I was so worried I didn't know if-"

"Tobin." I interrupt her. "Calm down I'm fine now. It's gonn be okay." I looked out the window. "How long have I been out?"

"Just a few hours. The doctors said that you were out partly because you still asleep," she glared at me. "And because you hit your head in the crash."

"Oh." I say. Tobin's probably mad cause I fell asleep in the car. "I'm sorry Tobin. I didn't mean to scare you."

"Ya, well you did scare me and I could've lost my best friend." She got up. "I gotta go practice is in an little bit. I'll send the doctor in. Bye, Alex." She goes out the door and probably heads back to the apartments. I didn't have to wait long for the doctor to come in.

"Hello Miss Morgan. How are you feeling?" The doctor asks me.

"I'm feeling okay. My head hurts a little." He nods his head.

"Yes you may have a headache for a while. You don't have a concussion though. You did though get a severe cut on your head. You have a few stitches."

"Will I be able to go to practice today?"

"No. You need to rest today. But you can continue with your normal soccer routine tomorrow."

"Ok. Thank you. When can I leave?"

"As soon as you fill out these papers." He says.

I fill out the papers and I call Kelley to come pick me up. She pulls up into the parking lot and I walk over to her. She gives me a weak smile and hugs me.

"How are you?" I ask her.

"I've been better. You really scared me Alex." She pulls away from me. "What happened?"

"Well-I-I guess I fell asleep." I say.

"You fell asleep!"

"Well I didn't mean to. It was late and I was listening to some calm musc in the car and I guess I fell asleep. I'm so sorry Kelley. I'm sorry I scared you and Tobin and everyone else. Will you please forgive me?"

"Of course I will but you have to promise me you'll be extra careful when you drive now."

"Ok, I promise." I smile and give her a hug. We get in her car and drive back to the apartments. We get out and she tells me that she has to go to practice and that she'll see me later.

I go up to my room and hang out there until practice and recovery was over. I hear a knock on the door so I go to open it. When I open it I see Kelley, Lauren, Amy, Hope, and Carli.

"Hey guys! What's up?"

"Nothing really. We were wondering if you were coming to team supper."

"Yea sure. Let me get my shoes then I'll be out." I go back into my room and out my shoes on. I go back out and we all go down to the dining hall.

When I walk in I see that most of the team is here. I see Tobin at a table with Kling, Moe, and Ashlyn. I grab my supper and sit down at Tobins table. She immediately stops talking.

The rest of dinner she doesn't talk to me. She'll talk to everybody else but not me. I don't know why. We've always been super close and always told each other everything.

"So Tobin." She looks at me. "How's it going? I haven't talked to you in awhile."

"Oh I've been fine."  She says and starts talking to Ashlyn. Well I tried. I don't know what's going on with her but its starting to get annoying.

After dinner I go over to Lauren. "Lauren. Do you know what's up with Tobin? She's been ignoring me for a few days."

"No I don't know what's wrong with her maybe you should talk to her."

"I have tried talking to her. She either ignores me or changes the subject."

"Hmm I don't know ill try talking to her."

"Thank you Lauren! I'm worried about her."

"Don't worry about it I'll talk to her and hopefully she'll be normal again." I hug her and then she goes into her room.

Lauren's PoV

After Alex and my conversation I go over to Tobin's room. I knock on her door and she opens the door.

"Tobin, we need to talk."

A/N: sorry guys it's been so long since I last updated. I've been so stinking busy! I'll update asap. I'll try to make these updates as a little longer but some chapters I can't make that long.
