My BestFriend My Teammate and Broken Promises

Chapter 20

Tobin's PoV

Servando just beat me again. I don't know how long I've been here but I know it's been a long time. I've been beaten, cut, even raped. Servando stops beating Alex and comes over to me. I can't even do anything. It hurts to move anything.

"I've decided to let you go." He says quietly and then starts to untie me. Once he's done I fall to the floor I groan in pain. He picks me up and half drags me to the door. He blindfolds me then continues to half drag me. After little bit I feel a breeze and I assume that were outside. He throws me to the ground and rips my blindfold off.

"A friend of yours is over there." He points to my left. "I'm not letting Alex go yet. In fact I might not for quite awhile. We'll be going to each town you're team goes to for each game. Bye Toby." He smiles and kicks me then walks away. I sit up slowly and look around. I see Kelley sitting by herself on a bench I get up fast ignoring the pain and hobble over to her.

I'm almost to her when she sees me. She studies me. Then she gets up and jogs over to me.

"Ma'am are you alright?" Does she not recognize me?

"Kelley it's me Tobin." Before I black out I see her eyes widen.

Alex's PoV

Servando was beating me when he stops. I'm so glad he does. I'm in so much pain. He walks over to Tobin and unties her. She looks terrible. I think looks worse than me. He grabs her and drags her out if the room. I have no strength to call out.  Awhile later he returns. He slaps me.

"You're going to be here for quite a long time." He says. "Unless you apologize and beg for forgiveness." He smirks.

"Never." I rasp out. My voice is pretty much gone from all the screaming and yelling.

"Well then we'll be here for a long time." Then he beats me and rapes me.

Tobin's PoV

I wake up in a lot of pain. I whimper. I hear footsteps and then a hand holding on to mine. Then another hand holing my other one.

I open my eyes and see Amy and Lauren beside me on both sides of the bed.

"Tobin you awake!" Amy says. She has tears streaming down her face
So does Lauren.

"I hurt all over. Really bad. Where am I?" I say. Even talking hurts.

"We're in Vancouver Tobin. We made it to the final. We play Japan. I'll go get the doctor." Says Lauren.

"How long have I been out?" I ask.

"A few weeks. The doctors had you sleeping so that your body could heal." Amy says.

"Is Alex here?" Her face tells me the answer.

"No. We haven't found her yet. But the police have gotten a lead." I nod my head. She's probably in a lot of pain. Then Lauren comes back with the doctor.

"Ah! Miss Heath. I'm glad to see you awake. Your friend tells me your in a lot of pain?" I nod my head. "Yes your body has not completely healed but your close. You still have a concussion and your ribs are almost healed. You will be able to leave soon." He says.

"Okay thank you. When will I be all the way healed?" I ask.

"Miraculously before the final. You'll be in a little bit of pain but you could play in the final if you rest." I smile at that. "Here are the papers. Once you sign them you can leave." He smiles and hands me some papers.

"Thank you." He nods his head and leaves. I sign the papers.

"I can't believe that I can play in the final." I say. "Most likely not the whole game but still."

"I know. I'm so happy for you." Lauren says. "Now let's get you home. But first we brought you some comfy clothes." She gives me a bag and I slowly get out of bed. I step onto the ground. I'm a bit wobbly at first but that's because I haven't walked in a few weeks. I almost fall but Lauren grabs me. "Woah there. Take it slow Tobin. Shout if you need help."

"Okay Lauren. Thank you." I walk into the bathroom. I untie the hospital gown and it falls. Underneath I'm wearing a sports bra and spandex. But what I see all over my body makes me sick. I have scars all over my body. They won't go unnoticed. I see words cut into my body that I don't want to say. I call for Amy and Lauren. I can't do it. I can't look at my body.

They come in. The stop and stare at my body. "I can't do it." They nod in understandment. I look up and close my eyes. I don't open them until their done. "Thanks. I guess I'm gonna have to get used to my body."

"It's okay. It's hard looking at your body and we're not even the ones who expirianced it. I'm so sorry. I don't mean to rush things but what happened? You don't have to tell me now but when your ready. Or if your ever ready, we're hear to talk about it." Says Amy. Lauren nods in agreement.

"Thanks guys. I'll tell you guys tonight. Can I stay in a room with the both of you?"

"Yep. Jill had it all planned so that when you woke up you would stay with us. Now let's go. I think our teammates our waiting for us back at the hotel." Lauren and Amy grab my hands and we walk out of the hospital and to the car. They never let go of my hands. Even when we got into the car. I love them.
