My BestFriend My Teammate and Broken Promises

Chapter 12

                   Alex's POV

Tobin has just finished telling me why she was crying that one day. I promised that I would never leave her and I intend to keep that promise. I stayed in her room that night to comfort her. The next morning we had training and we learned at breakfast that we would indeed be moving in the next few days and that we should start packing and picking out a roommate.

Tobin and I looked at each other at the same time when Jill said that and we both laughed. Everyone looked at us weird but we didn't care.

I had date with Serv tonight. I hadn't had one with him for awhile. I missed him. I felt kinda bad because I had been spending so much time with all my friends and not setting time aside for him.

After training we all went back and took showers. I just got out of my shower when someone knocked at my door.

"Come in!" I yelled. I assumed that it was a teammate cause you have to have clearance to come in to the hotel if you don't already live here.

"It's Tobin." I hear her yell. I come out into the living room. "I was wondering if you needed help with any packing?"

"I might. I'll let you help me if I can help you." I say cause I know how stubborn she is and how she thinks she can do a lot of things by herself.

"Umm. Deal." I laugh. We start packing up all my stuff. It takes us a few hours. I had more stuff than I thought. By the time we were done I realised that u had to be at my date in half an hour!

"I'm sorry Tobin. I won't be able to help you pack today. I have a date with Serv tonight in like half an hour." I say.

"That's alright. Go have fun tonight." She says. She smiles but I can tell that she's a little sad.

"Are you sure? Cause I can cancel-"

"Alex." She says. I stop talking. "It's all right. Now I'm gonna go and you can get ready. Have fun." She says and smiles. I hug her goodbye. She leaves and I run over to my room.

Tonight we are just going out for pizza and ice cream and we're going to walk around and maybe go to a movie.

I put on some casual clothes and and run out to the teams cars that the players and staff can use.

I get to the place that we're eating at just in time.

"Hey babe." Serv says when I walk in. He smiles and hugs me. He takes my hand and we walk to the table we're sitting at.  We order some pizza. We'll get ice cream afterwards.

"You look like you just ran a 5k." He say. I laugh.

"Well. We found out today that we're moving to a new hotel in a few days so we have to pack everything up. Tobin came over to help which was great. And by the time that we're done I had half an hour. So that is why look like I ran a 5k."

"I could've come over to help you you know."

"That's true I guess I never thought about that. I'll tell you what when we move to the new hotel you can come over and help. How's that sound?" I ask him. He smiles.

"That sounds great. I'm here if you ever need something. Remember that." He says. I smile.

"Of course I will. Oh! Out pizzas here!" I say.

"Yes!" He says. "I feel like I haven't seen or talked to you in forever. We need to hang out more often." Serv says.

"We should. How about tomorrow? After I help Tobin pack up her stuff?"

"That's sounds great. When would that be?"

"Well we have tomorrow off so I'll probably help her in the morning then we can hang out the rest of the day?" I suggest.
