My BestFriend My Teammate and Broken Promises

Chapter 9

Lauren's PoV

"Tobin we need to talk." I say. She looks at me weird.

"Okaaaaaay" she steps aside and let's me in.

"What is up with you?" I ask her. "You need to talk to Alex!"

"Why?"

"Because she's worried about you. She doesn't know why you're ignoring her and she's scared." She hesitates.

"Scared about what?" I sigh.

"She's scared that she losing you. Just like your scared of losing her. If you lose her it'll be your fault." She stares at me.

"I can't tell her."

"Why?"

"Just because." I sigh. There's nothing that I can say that can make her tell Alex what's wrong, and what's happening in her life. I get up and leave.

"Don't leave Lauren." Tobin says. I walk out the door. I shut her door and walk to my room.

Tobin's PoV

Lauren walks out and leaves me in my room. Lauren's right, I think, I should tell her what's bothering me and what's happened but what if she thinks I'm stupid and judges me because of my family? What if she doesn't want to be friends with me anymore once I tell her? I push these thoughts out of my head and go to bed early.

I'm awoken by my alarm. Today's the day before our friendly match against England so I'm a bit restless. I get into my practice clothes and head down to breakfast. I'm early so I'm the only one here except for Carli and Christie.

"Hey guys." I say.

"Hey Tobs." Christie replies.

"Sup Tobs." Carli says.

I grab some fruit and sit down next at their table. We make small talk then everyone started coming in for breakfast. Alex was the last one to come in. That was unusual for her. She's normally one of the first to come in. I tell myself that she probably just slept in a little later than usual.

I watch her as she grabs her breakfast. Then she comes over and sits down next to me. I decide to talk to her.

"Good morning sunshine." I say and I smile. She smiles back.

"Good morning."

"Ready for the game tomorrow?"

"Totally! But I am really nervous. Before I came in Jill told me that u was in the starting line up." I rub her back.

"I'm sure you'll do fine. Jill told me that I'm in the line up to so I'll be out there with you. You'll get used to all the fans and noise eventually." She smiles and we continue to eat our breakfast. After about half an hour later Jill comes in and announces that there will be and training after lunch and a lifting after that then a recovery session. So before all that and after we are free to do whatever.

"Hey Alex?" I say, walking back to our rooms after breakfast.

"Ya?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang with me and Kelley and Lauren and Amy after training and stuff today."

"Oh Tobin I who's love to but Serv taking me on a date to celebrate tomorrow's game."

"Oh okay." I say, really sad. I try to hide my emotions.

"I'm sorry Tobin. I'll hang with you guys tomorrow after the game if you want. All day." That made me a bit happier.

"Sure! I'll them know that the movie has been post-poned to tomorrow." She smiles which makes me smile.

"See ya later, Toby"

"See ya later, 'lex" I walk to my room and think about what we should do tomorrow since I might not see Alex that much again cause she'll probably hang with Serv a lot. That makes me sad all over again.

Alex's PoV

After my conversation with Tobin I go to my room and change into my training gear. Then I check all the social media stuff and then take a nap before lunch.

"My alarm goes off at 11:30. I slowly get out of bed. I put my hair up then put alittle but of makeup on. I walk out the door and head to the dining hall. I meet up with Kelley in the hallway and we walk down to lunch together.

"So are you and Tobin talking to each other again?" Kelley asks me. I'm slightly caught off guard with that question. If she noticed us not talking to each other then did the whole team notice?

"Ya we are. How'd you know about that?"

"Kinda hard to not miss the dynamic duo not talking to each other."

"Oh. Ya. I guess so." By then we had reached the dining hall. I grab some lunch and sit down next to Tobin and Lauren.

The rest of the day went fairly smoothly. Tobin and I say by each other on the bus on the way to practice and that was fun.

After recovery I go to my room and take a shower and then get ready for my date with Serv. I didn't know what we were doing that night but I assumed that we would just cuddle and watch movies or something. So I put on some casual clothes and head out to my car.

In just a few minutes I pull up into his driveway. I get out and before I even knock he opens the door.

"Well hello there stranger." He says. Making me laugh.

"Hello to you to stranger. May I come in?"

"But if course." We laugh.

"So what do you have planned for tonight?"

"Well I planned on a romantic date with my girlfriend with a movie and popcorn. How's that sound?"

"It sounds awesome." So that's what we did. We cuddled and ate popcorn and watched a movie.

After the movie I said goodnight to Serv and then went back to the hotel, went to my room and went to bed. ________________________________________________
