My BestFriend My Teammate and Broken Promises

Chapter 11

Alex's POV

Tobin, Lauren, and I head to the bus. Thankfully it hadn't left yet. We all get in the bus and take our seats. I sit with Tobin and Lauren sits with Amy.

"Hey what took you guys so long?" Amy asks.

"My boyfriend friend came in. So we talked a bit." I replie.

"Ooh. So when do I get to meat him?" She asks.

"I don't know. Maybe we all could have like invite our boyfriends and husbands if we have one. So like everyone can get to know each other." I say.

"That's a good idea! Good thinking Alex!" She high fives me. Me and Lauren switch seats so Amy and I can plan the get together thing.

When we get back to the hotel Tobin, Amy, Lauren, Kelley, and I head to Tobin's room for the movie and pizza. On our way over there we in it Carli and Hope.

"Okay guys," Tobin says after we get to her room. "What movie should we watch?"

"Into The Woods!" Kelley shouts. I laugh at how childish she can be sometimes. "What? Just because I'm an adult doesn't mean I can't watch kids movies!" She says. We all laugh. Even Kelley can't keep a straight face.

"I'm okay with that. And Tobin your room needs some serious cleaning help." Lauren points out.

"Hey! My room my rules! And my rule is I can make my room as messy as I want and then I'll clean once a month."

"And when was the last know month mark?" Says Lauren smirking.

"Umm." Tobin shifts her feet not looking Lauren straight in the eye. I look around the room and I see everyone trying not to laugh. "Last week I think maybe." At that we all burst out laughing. "Whatever." She says and starts to walk over to the kitchen.

"We love you Tobin!" We all shout and run over to her and hug her. Then Kelley starts to tickle her. One thing I didn't know about Tobin was that she very ticklish. Soon it was a full out tickle fight. Everyone against everyone.

"Ok everyone. That's enough," says Carli. "I think it's time that we call for the pizza and start the movie."

"Party pooper." Mumbles Kelley. Tobin and I heard her though and we both die with laughter. After we calm down from laughing the pizza had already arrived. So that means that we laughed for a good 20 minutes.

Hope puts Into The Woods in and we all find a cuddle buddy or buddies. Thru out the whole movie Tobin and Kelley sing to all the songs.

After the movie they re-sing all the songs like a show and Amy joins them. It was hilarious! When hey finished they bowed and everyone else's stomachs hurt from laughing so hard and so much.

"So what should we do now?" Amy asks.

"Well I promised Alex I would take her to see the city today." Everyone agreed that that was a good idea. We all but some shorts and tshirts on then headed out.

We explore the city the rest if the day and when it's time to go back to the hotel for supper my feet were dead.

I walk into my room and collapse on my bed. Then I hear a knock at my door.

"Who is it?" I yell, still sitting on my bed.

"It's Tobin. Hurry up its supper time!" I hear Tobin yell. The second sentence she says in a southern accent. I laugh. I thought about just ordering in instead of going downstairs.

"And don't even think about ordering in!" I hear Tobin yell. Of course. She knows me to well.

"I'm coming!" I yell back at her. I groan and get out of bed. I get up and go to my door.

"Glad that you decided to join us." Tobin says smirking.

"Haha very funny. I wa going to join you guys for supper." I lie.

"Ya right. But whatever. Let's go! Can't be late for supper!" She grabs my hand and pulls me to the elevator. She lets me push the button since it's my favourite thing to do.

We enter the dining hall and grab some food and sit down for supper. We talked about the game and our favourite parts about today. Mine was scoring my first international goal.

I hang with Tobin the next few days. In hopes that we can become the best of friends again and that she'll maybe what's been bothering her. One day u decide to ask her about it.

Tobin's POV

I had been hanging out with Alex the past few days. It was fun. She cancelled a date even just to hang with me. I'm Servando wasn't very happy about that but I don't care.

I'm getting even closer to Alex with every passing day. I know at one point she's going to ask about that time I cried in her arms that one day, I just didn't expect her to ask so soon.

"So Tobin." Alex says slowly.

"Ya?" I replie.

"I was wondering if you were ready to tell me about that one time you were crying in the locker room. You don't have to answer I was just wondering." I sigh.

"I'll tell you but let's go back to my room." I say. We drive back to the hotel from the restaurant we were eating at. We head up to my room and we sit on opposite sides of the bed.

"You don't have to tell me you know if it's to hard for you." She says.

"I know. I think you need to know though. If we're gonna be best friends we're gonna have to be able to each other everything." She nods and I start telling her about that day.

"So it has something to do with my family." I start. "I was getting ready to head out to practice when my ex-dad calls me." I wait for to ask me to explain why I said ex-dad but she just continues to sit there so I continue. "My past had been very rough. My family is a very rich and powerful family. And the only people allowed to play sports were the oldest and secind oldest boys. The girl's husband were always chosen for her whether or not she wanted to marry him or not. We were trained to be very proper ladies. The thing was I loved sports and I wasn't allowed to play them. I found out about soccer when we went to my cousins soccer game. I was having hooked after that one game. I started playing secretly in the garage after everyone went to sleep. One day I went to try out for the soccer team and I made it. Every time I went out to oractice or a game I wild just say that I'm going to a friends house or something. One day I decided to tell them about me playing soccer. They were not happy but they tried to not show it. They said that was my decision and that they'll love me no matter what. But they were always trying to get me to stop playing. I always refused. One day in my last year in high school I got a letter saying I had a full ride to UNC. When I my parents found out they were furious. We argued all the time. One day my dad said that I should take the scholarship and leave. He basically through me out of the house." I was getting ready eyed. "So I didn't have a ton of friends. Lauren and Amy were my best friends for a long time. They knew all about my past. A lot of the people I was friends with either forgot about me or hated that I would never tell them why I would cry a lot. Then a few weeks ago. My dad called. He said we would give me second chance to be a part of the family again if I gave up soccer and came home. Naturally I told him no. Then he told me he thought I would say that and that I am a disgrace to the Heath name and that no daughter of his would be an athlete. So he disowned me." I broke down in tears. "I've lost so much. It's head for me to trust sometimes cause I'm scared I'm going to get hurt again." Alex starts crying too.

"Shh. It's okay. I'm never gonna leave you." Alex says.

"Promise?" I ask her.

"Promise."
