My BestFriend My Teammate and Broken Promises

Chapter 7

Tobin's PoV

Today we had a full day of training, working out, and meetings. Breakfast was at 8:00 practice was at 9:30, so our food could settle, and that was until 2:00 with a lunch break at 11:45 and then a weight lifting session at 3:30. Then we would go shower and clean up then head back down for a team meeting at 4:15. Then the rest if the day was free after supper.

It was currently 7:10 so I had a little time to get ready. I get out of bed and get ready for the day. When I'm done I text Alex if I could come over since I still had some time before breakfast. She said yes so I headed over there.

I knock on the door and she opens it.

"Good morning." She says and smiles. She steps aside to let me in. I walk in over to her couch and sit down. She sits down across from me.

"So," I start. "Have you heard anything about your date yet?"

"Yep! He said he'll meet me in the front of the hotel at 7:00 on Thursday." Alex tells me. I can tell she excited cause she keeps bouncing up and down on the couch.

"Ok," I say laughing. "Settle down there. You're gonna break the couch." She stops and we both laugh again.

"I'm just so excited. I've only been on a few dates before but that was in middle school and those boys were weird I don't even know why I went out with them. But Servando is different. He makes me feel so happy Tobin." She spaces off. Probably thinking of Servando.

This makes me a little sad. She says that he makes her so happy, so does that mean when she with me or Kelley that she's not happy? I tell myself to forget about. I look at the time. It's 7:58.

"Alex we gotta go to breakfast! We don't wanna be late!" I grab her arm and pull her out the door into the elevator.

"Wow," Alex says. "Someone's a little hungry." She smiles.

"Well I just don't want to be late. Jill would be mad at us and Pinoe and Syd would never let us forget that we were late one time." I say.  I for one hate it when Pinoe or Syd make fun of me.

The rest of the day went by fast. Nothing big happened that day, except if you count Pinoe throwing up and Syd almost throwing up because Pinoe threw up big. It was pretty funny.

It was almost time for supper and Tobin was just finishing her shower. She put on some sweatpants and and old UNC shirt.

She went to the meeting. And then went back to her room to relax until supper. She was watching TV when a knock came at the door. She lazily got up and went to the door. She opened it and found Lauren Holiday in front of her.

"Cheney!" I say and give her a hug. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!"

"Well you would see me a bit more if you actually hung out with me." She says slightly smiling but I can hear the seriousness in her voice.

"Ya I know I'm sorry. I've been hanging out with Alex a lot and haven't hung out with you and A-rod. I'll try to hang out with you more often." I say. I feel a little guilty for not hanging out with her and Amy lately.

We talk about anything and everything until it's time for supper. We head down there together and then head in our separate tables. I go sit down at the table I normally sit down at with Alex, Kelley, Ashlyn, and Carli.

We talk until we after supper is over and when everyone left. We finally say goodnight to each other head to our own rooms. I'm walking to my room when someone stops me.

"Hey Tobin," I turn and I see Alex there. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the park with Kelley, Carli, Hope and I?"

"Umm. When?"
