Chapter 36

Chapter 36:

~Alexis' POV~

-5 months later-

It's around 8 in the morning when all of a sudden I hear a loud thump. I open my eyes and notice Luke isn't next to me anymore. I sit up straight, which takes me about a minute to do because of my big round pregnant belly. I'm 5 months pregnant and boy am I big. I'm not even having twins this time, I'm only have one child this time and I'm really happy about that. I mean, I love the twins to death but I didn't want another set of twins. Plus, now that I'm pregnant I have to get my wedding dress in a bigger size. Me and Luke decided that we're still going to get married on our original date we had plan. We're getting married on July 15. I'll be 9 months pregnant and its 4 days before my due date, it's also a day before Luke's birthday. It's cutting it close but we really want to get married before this baby comes. "Luke?!" I whisper scream. "I'm on the floor." I hear him mumble. I look over to his side of the bed and see him on the floor. "Honey, why are you on the floor?" "Because for the 5th time tonight and the billionth time since you got pregnant, you kicked me off the bed." He says as he checks the time  on his phone. He then stands up from the floor. "I'm sorry, come back to bed." "Eh, it's 8:15. I'm just gonna go make breakfast for the twins since it's their birthday." He says putting a T-Shirt on. It's the twins 4th birthday today and instead of having a birthday party for them, we're just spending the entire day with them. "I wanna help." I say as I go to stand up but Luke stops me. "No, you stay up here until the twins wake up." "What why?!" "You should rest." "For god sakes Luke, I'm pregnant not fricken disabled." I say as I push him out of the way. I stand up from the bad and put a T-Shirt on over my cami. "I know I know." "Then let me help!" "Fine, lets go." He says as he leaves the room I follow behind him and we go to the kitchen. "Sit down, you can watch." Luke says as he grabs a bowl and pancake mix. "Luke, I want to help make breakfast for my children." I say crossing my arms as I sit down on the island we have in are kitchen. "How about you write down what you want the twins new rooms to look like so Michael and Connor know what they're doing." He says handing me a piece of paper and a pencil. One of our gifts to the twins is that they're finally getting separate rooms.  They've been sharing a room since they were born, and now that the boys are gone, they can finally have their own rooms. "I told them already, princess Ariel theme for Zo, and superhero theme for LJ. Let me help." "You can decorate the pancakes, okay?" "Ugh, fine." "You love me." He says smiling as he starts to mix the pancake batter. "Yeah, yeah." I say as I stand up and walk over to the cupboard and grab two bowls, food coloring, and frosting. "When I meant decorate I meant with whip cream, strawberries, blueberries, ext. not frosting." Luke says as I sit back down. "Oh c'mon, it's their birthday Luke." I say as I put some frosting in the bowls. I then mix one with purple food coloring and the other with red. "Fine but if they're all hyper all day, it's on you." He says flipping the pancakes. He then hands me a plate with 4 pancakes on it. I cover two in purple frosting and two with red frosting. As I'm frosting them I get an idea. "Luke, grab the edible makers so I can write happy birthday on the pancakes." "Yeah." He says as he walks over to the cupboard. While his back is turned I put a ton of frosting on my right hand and put it behind my back. He hands it to me and I put it down. "Kiss me." I say looking into eyes. When he goes to kiss me, I put the frosting all over his face. "What the hell Alexis!" He screams and I just start laughing. "I had too, I'm sorry." I say still laughing. "Give me a kiss." He says smirking. Still laughing, I shake my head. Luke then stats walking towards me, I stand up and try my best to run but I can't because of my belly. Luke grabs me and kisses me. Frosting gets all over my face and he starts to laugh. "Revenge is sweet, literally." He says as he walks back to the island. I start to walk back when I start to feel something weird in my stomach. I put my hand on my stomach and realize it's the baby kicking. "Luke!!!!" I scream somewhat loud. He drops the marker and runs over to me. "What? Are you okay?!" "Yeah yeah I'm fine. Give me your hand!!" "What why?" "Just give me your hand!" I scream as I grab his hand. I put his hand on my stomach and when I do the baby starts to kick again. "That's our baby kicking Lex." He says as takes his hand off my stomach. He then gives me me a big hug and a kiss. "I know Luke." I say smiling. "The last time my hand was on your pregnant belly it was the twins, and they both were kicking at the same time." "And now they're 4 and we have another one coming." "I really want to know what we're having." "And I told you, I want to be surprised." I say as I take his arms off of me. Luke really wants to know the gender of the baby, but I don't. I want to be surprised this time. Only one person knows the gender of the baby and that is Phoenixx. She was with me at one of my ultrasounds one day because Luke couldn't come and saw the gender. I made her promise she wouldn't tell me or Luke. "Why does Phoenixx get to know but not me? It's my child." He says as he puts his hand back on my stomach. "She was there and saw. I want to be surprised Luke, please just let us be surprised. Please." "Okay, I'll wait until you pop out the baby." He says laughing. "MOMMY! DADDY!" We hear the twins both scream at the same. We turn around and see the twins standing at the bottom of the steps in their pjs. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" We both scream at the same time.  The twins smile and run to us. I pick up LJ and Luke picks up Zoe. "Mommy, you have frosting on your face." LJ says as he licks my face. "Why did you just lick me?" "Because you have frosting on your face mommy!" He says giggling. "You have frosting on your face too daddy!!!" "Yes I do, don't lick me." He says and Zoe ignores him. She licks him and starts to laugh. "Maybe we should feed them." "Yeah, good idea." I say laughing we carry them to the table and put them in their chairs. We hand them their pancakes. The day their pancakes and get frosting all over their faces. "Michael and Connor are coming at 9:30 so we should get going." Luke whispers in my ear as I clean off the twins faces off. "Go upstairs, and get them dressed." I say and he takes the twins upstairs. About 5 minutes later the twins coming running down the stairs with Luke right behind them. We both grab their hands and go to the car.

/Phoenixx's POV/

"Phoenixx, I'm leaving." I hear Connor say as he knocks on the bathroom door. I ignore him and continue to stare at the plastic stick that says pregnant on it. I have mix feelings about this. One side of me is very happy I'm pregnant again but another is nervous to tell Connor. We both wanted another child but he wanted to wait until Zada was 10, I'm pretty sure he'll be happy though. I put the stick down on the counter when all of a sudden I hear the doorknob jiggle. I quickly put the test in my back pocket. The door opens and its Connor. "Jesus Connor!" "You didn't answer me." "Doesn't mean you barge in! I could've been naked!" "I'm your husband. I've seen you naked multiple times." "Yeah yeah, what do you want?" "I'm leaving, Zada's dressed. She's in her room watching cartoons." "Okay, love you." "Love you too." He says as he he hugs me. He breaks the hug and starts to walk out but I stop him. "Wait." "Yeah?" He says as he turns around. "Never mind." I say shaking my head. "Are you sure?" "Yeah I'm sure..." I say kinda shaking a little. I don't understand why I'm so nervous about this. "Okay, I need to go." He says as he leaves. I take out the pregnancy test from my back pocket and stare at it. How am I gonna tell him?
