-Month Later-

"Come on LJ say mommy." I say as I walk into the living room and put him on the floor. The twins are almost one. They're birthday is next week and I can't believe they're already turning 1. They both can walk but Zoe is the only one who can talk. She talks all the time. Her first word was no and it's her favorite word. She can't say full sentences yet but she tries which is so cute. I really want LJ to start to talking. Every time I try to get him to talk he just looks at me like I'm from a different planet. "Are you trying to get him to talk again?" Luke says as he walks into the living room. He keeps telling me that he'll talk when he's ready but I think he's ready to talk. "Maybe.." "Lex, he's gonna talk when he's ready to talk. Don't force him." "I just don't understand why he hasn't talked yet but Zoe won't stop." I say as I pick up LJ and put him on my lap. "It's normal. Just because doesn't mean they'll do everything at the same time. He'll talk when he's ready." "I guess you're right." "I'm always right." "Wait speaking of Zoe, where is she?" "She's with Ashton." "Couldn't handle her saying no over and over again?" I say and he starts to laugh. She will run around the house screaming no at the top of her lungs. "Just a little but will you do me a favor?" "What?" "Get my phone charger?" He says and I look at him. "You have two legs that aren't broken." "Please!" "Ugh fine! I'll take LJ upstairs too." I say looking at LJ. He's passed out in my arms. I stand up and walk upstairs. I put LJ in his room and cover him with his favorite blanket. I then walk to me and Luke's room. I grab his phone charger and then notice his dresser is open. I go to shut it but I notice something. A pack of cigarettes. I open them and a a lot is missing, there's has to be only about 5 left. I slam the dresser door shut and then run downstairs to the living room. I throw his charger at him really hard and he jumps a little. "Jesus Christ Lex!" "WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE A PACK OF CIGARETTES IN YOUR DRESSER!" I scream really loud at him. I can feel my face turn red. I never yell at him. To be honest I've never got this pissed off at him before. "They're not mine Alexis!" He screams and I look at him with a death glare. "There's 5 left in here Luke!" "I'm just holding them for somebody!" "Then who's is it?! I know for a damn fact Michael, Ashton, and Calum do not smoke!" I scream and Luke's face turns blank. "Okay fine... They're mine.." He says slowly and I can start to feel a tear fall down my cheek. "How long.." "What? "How long have you been smoking you dipshit!" "I started when the twins were 2 weeks..." "LUKE WHY!!!!" "I don't know... I got nervous and stressed out that I would be horrible father.." "But you're not a horrible father." "I know but I was afraid I was gonna be a bad one." "I want you to quit!" "I've tried before.. I can't do it. I get all pissy and I feel all weird." "That's called withdraw." "I don't like the feeling!" "Well do you like your lungs!" I scream at him. I'm just really pissed off he kept this from me and has been doing this for almost a year. "Calm down Lex." "CALM DOWN!?! Luke smoking leads to lung cancer or even throat cancer! You can lose your teeth, you can get a hole in your throat, and you can most likely die! I love you way to much to see any of that happen to you! Please just try to quit!" I say as tears fall faster down my cheeks. "It's not that easy. I just can't stop." He says and I lose it. "DO YOU NOT REALIZE YOU HAVE TWO KIDS AND A GIRLFRIEND WHO LOVE YOU AND NEED YOU?!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Luke's about to say something but Zoe comes running into the living room. "Daddy play!" She screams at the top of her lungs. Luke then picks her up and puts her in his lap. "We will continue this conversation later." I say calmly as I walk upstairs. Once I get to the top I run to Michael's room and start to pound on the door. "Who is it?" "Alexis! Can I come in!" "Give me a minute." "LET ME IN NOW MICHAEL." I scream really loud. He then opens the door. "Demanding now are we?" He says as I walk into his room. I walk over to his bed and sent down. "I'm not in the mood." "Why?" He says as he walks over to his bed and sits down next to me. "I found these in Luke's dresser." I say handing him the pack of cigarettes. "He told me he was gonna quit.." Michael says and I look at him funny. "Wait you knew?" "Yeah, we all did. He didn't want us telling you, but we wanted him to quit." "When did he tell you?" "Last week he said he was gonna quit." "He told me he tried to but he doesn't like withdraw." "I hate to tell you this but he only tried once and gave in after 2 hours." Michael says and I just wanna scream. "How many does he smoke a day..." "Before I tell you I'm gonna move away so you don't burst my ear drum when you scream." He says as he stands up from the bed and walks away from his bed. "You're weird. Tell me." "A pack a day." He says as he quickly covers his ears. I don't even scream. He puts his hands down and looks at me funny. I then start to cry and shake. Michael then walks back to his bed and sits down next to me again. "I don't want him dead at a young age because of these stupid things!" I scream as I throw them across Michael's room. "Talk to him about it." "I was but then Zoe came running into the room and I didn't want her to hear it so I came up here." "Try again." "I don't know." "If you don't I'll carry you to the steps." "You wouldn't." I say and he stands up. He then picks me up and starts to walk out of his room. "Put me down Michael!" I scream and he puts me down in front of the steps like he said. "Now go downstairs or I'm pushing you." "IM GOING." I scream as I run downstairs. I then walk into the living room. When I walk in Luke is in the floor coloring with Zoe. "I'll be right back okay honey?" "Okay daddy!" She screams as she continues to color well, scribble. He then stands up and starts to walk to me. Before he even gets closed I run up to him and hug him tightly. "I'm sorry I freaked out like that. I overreacted." "It's fine I understand why you did." "I just don't want to lose you at a young age." "I'm gonna try to quit again." He says and I lift my head from his chest. I look at him with a huge smile. He then starts to kiss me. "EEEWWWW!!!" I hear Zoe scream. We break the kiss and we see Zoe covering her eyes. "GWOSS!!!" She screams as she starts to run towards the stairs. As she running she trips over her own feet and I can't help but laugh. She then stands up and runs up the stairs. I look over at her and she's barely up the steps. I let go of Luke and walk up the stairs. I pick her up and carry her to her room.

Before you kill me I KNOW ITS TUESDAY. I was busy all weekend and couldn't finish the chapter in time to upload it on Sunday. I was gonna do it yesterday but I fell asleep before I could finish it. Plus I'm sorry for the shitty ending in literally half asleep right now. 😂 I'll try to update on Sunday but no promises. My best friend is coming home from college this weekend and I actually get to see her. 🙊🙈👌😊
