~Alexis' POV~

I walk over to Michael's room and go to knock on his door. But as if he knew I was coming. "Here." He says as he hands me another envelope. "How did you know I was coming?" "Because I know what's going on." He says smirking. "Everybody does but me. Even the twins know." "You'll love it trust me." He says as he shuts the door. I open the envelope and there's the letter R is in it. I grab the note and read it. 'To find clue 3, go to where you found my cigarettes.' I then walk to our room. I walk over to Luke's dresser and open it. There's envelope right where I found the cigarettes at. Damn, he probably spent months planning this. I grab the envelope and open it. When I open it, there's the letter A, and of course a note. 'FRA is your clue can you guess? Probably not. Clue 4 is where you thought you lost me.' I can feel my heart break a little just thinking about that. Seeing him laying on that floor was horrible. I then walk downstairs to the living room. When I get downstairs, there's an envelope on the floor right where he passed out at. I open the envelope and there's the letter N. I then read the note. 'FRAN, can you guess it now? Alright, one more hint. To find clue 5, go to the place where we told each other the names we wanted for the twins.' I put the note down and run upstairs to the twins room. When I get up there, there's an envelope between their beds. Right where we told each other. I pick it up and open it. There's a C in it. Oh my god, I think he's spelling out France. I snap out of my thought and start to read the note. 'FRANC, can you guess it now? You know what just go to the back yard.' I laugh and run downstairs. When I get to the backyard, there's a huge banner that says France. I run up to Luke and give a big hug. "Oh my god." "You're welcome." He whispers in my ear. "Thank you!" "Phoenixx is coming too." He whispers and I smile. I can't believe I'm going to France.

-The day of the tip-

"Lex, you need to wake up. We have to be at the airport in 15 minutes." Luke says as she shakes me awake. Our flight leaves at 8 am but we have to be there at 5. I planned on going to bed early last night but I ended up having a fight with my mother again. This time it was it worse. She texted me right when I was about to go to bed saying she forbids to go to France with Luke. The whole thing was horrible. She ended up calling me and basically screamed at me telling me I'm a huge disappointment. God, I wish I never forgave her. Why was I so stupid? "Erm, are the twins up and ready?" "Yes. Phoenixx got them ready. We're just waiting on you." He says as I sit up straight. "Sorry.. I didn't fall asleep until 2..." "Excited?" "Uh yeah." I say lying. I really don't want him knowing the true reason to why I barely slept. "Are you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine." "Are you sure baby?" "I'm sure." I say putting on a fake smile I'll be downstairs. Your stuff is in the car, you just gotta get ready." "Okay, I'll be down in 5 minutes." "Alright." He says s he leaves the room. I get up from the bed and quickly get dress. I grab my phone and notice I have a lot of texts from my mom. I roll my eyes and look at the messages.

You're a fucking disgrace you know that?!

I have no idea why I even apologized to such an ungrateful brat.

I'm so disappointed that I gave birth to you!

Alexis I swear to god if you go to France with that bastard, I'll disown you forever!

I stop reading the messages and turn my phone off. Tears fall down my cheeks. What did I ever do to deserve this? I get it, I got pregnant at a young age and hide it from her but she should be over it. It happened 3 years ago. I hope she does disown me. I hate her so much. I wipe my tears away and walk downstairs. "Are you okay Lex, you look like you've been crying." Phoenixx says as she walks over to me. "Where's Luke and the twins?" I whisper before I answer her question. "Car. We're waiting on you. Are you okay?" She says and I shake my head. "No I'm not." "What's wrong??!" "It's my mother. She told me not to go to France with Luke and if I do she'll disown me." "Are you fucking serious?" "Yes. Don't tell Luke please. I don't wanna ruin the trip." "I won't. Just ignore her." "I just don't understand why she hates him." "I don't know Lex, but we need to get going." "Okay." I say and we walk to the car. "Are you okay Lex? You're eyes are all red and puffy." Luke says as we get into the car. "Yeah. I'm fine." I say lying. I really want to just cry into Luke's arm and tell him everything but I don't our trip to be ruin over what my mom is doing. "Are you sure?" "I'm fine Luke, I'm just tired." "Sleep on the plane, okay?" He says and I just smile. "Okay I will." I say and he continues to drive. After 10 minutes we finally get to the airport. "You two need to stay close to me and daddy okay?" I say to the twins and they just nod there sleepy heads. We made sure they didn't go to bed until very late so they'll sleep the entire flight. Hopefully it'll work. "Passports please." The TSA lady says. Luke shows me and his passports and then Phoenixx shows hers. After we go through TSA completely we sent in the terminal until it's time to board the plane. "Hey, has your mom texted you anything else?" Phoenixx whispers so Luke can't hear her. "I don't know, I'll check.." I say as I grab my phone. I turn it and when it comes on, I get a bunch new texts from my mom. I take a deep breathe and read them.

You're at the airport aren't you?! God damn it Alexis!

From: Mother😔

You know what Alexis?! You and Luke go to France have a good time but when you come home, you'll no longer be my daughter. You are nothing to me. I hate you. I hate Luke and most importantly. I hate your kids.

I don't even finish reading all the texts she sent me. I just start to bawl my eyes out. I drop my phone on the ground and start to shake. Why is my mom doing this to me? She's normally so nice and loving. She even apologized to me! And now she being even more of an asshole. "Alexis, are you okay?" I hear Luke say. I look up and he's standing right in front of me. I simply just shook my head. I then grabbed his arms and pulled him towards me. I wrap my arms around him and hug him tightly. I put my head in his chest and start to cry even harder. "Phoenixx. Do you know what's wrong?" I hear Luke say. "It's her mother. She's being a real d-i-c-k." She says spelling it so the twins don't know what she's saying. "What is she doing?" He says to me. I try to say something but I can't. I just keep crying and holding onto him tightly. Phoenixx doesn't say anything. She just hands him my phone. He starts to read the text messages. After reading about 5 he gave my phone back to her. He then hugged me tightly. "Ignore her. Lex. We're going to France and we're gonna be together with the twins. We're gonna have fun. Don't let her get to you. I love you and that's the only thing that matters. Okay?" "I love you too." I say slightly smile. He wipes my tears away and then gives me a kiss on the lips. "Mommy okay?" The twins say at the same time. "Yes I'm fine." I say smiling. "Flight 89 to France is now boarding." The lady on the loud speaker says. I grab LJ and Luke grabs Zoe. Phoenixx helps us by taking our carry ons. We show are tickets and board the plane. France here we come.
