Chapter 34:

-month later-

~Alexis' POV~

"Are you sure you'll be able to handle the twins all by yourself?" I say to Luke as I grab my purse. I trust Luke by himself with the twins since they are his kids, but I haven't really left him alone with them before. I'm just nervous they'll be a handful for him. I'm going to get my wedding dress and my braids maid dresses with Phoenixx, my cousins Amélie, Océane, Odette, Marine, and of course my dad. He's the one paying for my dress. I told my dad about me getting engaged 10 minutes after Luke proposed to me. He told my mother about 3 weeks later and boy was she pissed. She kept texting me and calling me, but she finally gave up on calling me. I'm still not talking to her. "Lex, they're my kids. I'll be fine." "I never left them alone with you before." "If anything happens I'll call you, got it?" He says as he gives me a kiss on my cheek. "Okay. I'll be back by 8." I say grabbing my keys. I leave the house and go to my car. I start to drive towards the bridal shop. I'm meeting everybody there. About 10 minutes of driving I finally get there. "I can't believe my baby cousin is actually getting married!" My cousin Odette says as I walk into the shop. Odette is the oldest, then Amélie, and Océane who are twins, then Marine, and then me. I'm the youngest of my cousins. They're all married and now it's my turn. I actually can't believe I'm getting married. "You'll love being married." Marine says giving me a hug. "Me and Océane already picked out a few dresses so come on!" Phoenixx screams as she drags me to the dressing room. I get in the dressing room and get undress. The sales association helps me out on the first dress which is a sweetheart neckline that's fitted at the top and the flows out. It has beaded sparkling jewels going down the left side. Once the dress is on, I walk out to look at myself. I look in the mirror and I absolutely love it. "Oh my god Lex, you look so beautiful!" Both Amélie and Marine scream. "I love it." I say smiling. "Are you gonna try anymore on?" My dad says  and smile. "Yeah I'll try one more." I say as I walk back to the dressing room. I take off the dress and put a different one. This one is sweetheart neckline that's also fitted on the top but this time it's really poofy in the bottom and it has a sparkly belt. I walk out and look at myself. It's simple but I love it. I love both of the dresses. "I like the first one better." Marine says and I kinda frown. "I agree with Marine, but it's up to you." Phoenixx says and I take a deep breathe. "The first one. That's my dress. I pick the first one." I say smiling big. I go back to the dressing room and take the dress off. I start to get redress so I can pick out the braids maid dresses and a maid of honor dress. Once I'm dressed, my phone starts to go off. I look down and it's Luke. I then realize I have 7 miss calls from him. Oh shit. I then quickly answer it.

"Hello?"

"Its about time you answered Lex!"

"I'm sorry Luke, I was trying on dresses and I wasn't near my phone."

"It's okay, but I don't want to alarm you but you need to meet me at the hospital."

"WHAT!!!!!"

"I had to take Zoe to the hospital."

"WHY?!"

"I'll explain when you get here."

"I'll be there in 10 minutes!"

I don't let him respond, I hang up my phone. I throw it into my purse. I grab my purse and run out of the dressing room. "I gotta go. Zoe's in the hospital." "Is she okay?!" Océane and Phoenixx scream at the same time. "I don't know. Luke didn't tell me. Just Phoenixx pick out 4 dresses for everybody that you think I'll like and send pictures!" I scream as I run to my car. I get into my car and drive to the hospital. After 10 minutes of driving I finally get to the hospital and run inside. When I do, I see Luke in the waiting room. I run over to him and about to say something but he beats me to it. "They took her to get some tests." "What happened?!" "We were eating lunch and all of a sudden she's having trouble breathing. Then her face started to swell." "Oh my god." I say as I start to feel a tear fall down my cheek. "It's going to be okay Lex, they think it was allergic reaction to something." He says as he pulls me into a hug. "Are you two Zoe Hemmings parents?" I hear the doctor say I break the hug and look at her. "Yes we are." "Okay, she's going to be okay. She had an allergic reaction to peanut butter. It's a serve allergy so you must have an EpiPen with you at all times just in case." "Is she allergic to anything else?" "Yes. To be safe we did a bunch of tests. She's allergic to your basic outdoor stuff, but she's also severely allergic to cats." She says and start to freak out a little. "My best friend has a cat and we go there all the time. What are we gonna do?" "Easy, I can prescribe her to allergy medicine she can take right before you go anywhere with cats. And keep that EpiPen with you to be safe." "Thank you, can we go see here." "Yes of course. Also, I wanna keep her over night." She says and we start to walk. "Wait. Where's LJ?" "I left him with Michael." He says and we walk into Zoe's room. She's laying in bed with a Barbie doll and have tubes in her noses to help her breathe. "MOMMY!!" She screams as she puts her Barbie doll down and puts her arms in the air. I walk over to her bed and lay down next to her. I then give her a big hug. "How are you feeling?" "Good mommy. I couldn't bweathe it weally huwt." She says squeezing my arm. She still can't say her 'r's' by I think it's very cute. "I know baby." "Excuse me, I have a question." Luke says to the nurse changing Zoe's IV and I look at him funny. "Yes go ahead." "Zoe has a twin brother. Should we get him tested to see if he's allergic to peanut butter and cats also?" "I would just to be safe." The nurse says as she leaves the room. "Smart thinking, honey."  I say smiling. "I'm going to go get him and grab some clothes for Zo." Luke says as he gives me a kiss on the cheek. "Okay. Love you." "Love you too." He says as he leaves the room. "Whewe daddy going?!" "He's going to get LJ." "Mommy?" She says picking up her doll again. "Yes sweetie?" "Whats LJ's weal name?" She says and I look at her. "It's Luke Jr. He's named after daddy." "Who am I named aftew?" She says batting her small little eyes. "Well, you're named after my great grandma." I say smiling. I look down and realize she fell asleep. Her head is on my lap and her arm is wrapped around her other doll she has with her. "I love you sweetie." I say as I give her a kiss on the forehead. "Okay, so they're giving him tests now." Luke says as he walks into the room and sits down in the chair next to Zoe's bed. "Since Zo is allergic to peanut butter, we're no longer having it in our household." "Oh come on!" "She's severely allergic Luke." "And?" He says and I death glare him. "And she can't even be near it or she'll have a reaction." "Zoe's lucky I love her." He says as he crosses his arms. I'm about to say something but the doctor walks in with LJ. "Mommy!" He screams as he smiles big and holds his arms out. The doctor hands him to me and he wraps his arms around me. "He's allergic to cats that's about it but it's not as serve as Zoe. He'll only need to take an over the counter allergy medicine." The doctor says smiling. "Okay thank you."  "No problem." She says smiling as she leaves the room. "Is one of us staying the night with her or our we both leaving?" Luke says as he takes LJ from my arms. "I'm kinda trapped here, honey." I say slightly laughing. "When she wakes up ding bag." He says putting LJ on his lap. I turn my head and death glare him. "I'll stay here because she'll probably be scared tonight by herself." "Okay." "And don't call me a dig bag, you ass hat." I spat at him. "Oh hush, You love me." He says leaning towards me and gives me a kiss on the lips. "Daddy's an ass hat!!!" LJ randomly screams. Me and Luke start to laugh but quickly stop. "LJ, don't say that word. That's a bad word." Luke says and LJ just starts to laugh. "Mommy said it! Ass hat ass hat!" "Luke Robert!" I scream and Luke looks at me like he did something wrong. "What did I do!" "Not you! LJ!" "Oh, right." "Now LJ, you can't say that word. It's a very bad word. I shouldn't have said it." "I'm sorry mommy. I won't say it again!" "Good boy." "I'm going to take LJ home now, call me if anything happens." Luke says standing up and giving me a kiss on the check. "Okay, I will." I say smiling and then they leave.
