I was slightly nervous. I was basically revealing a big part of myself to Dem. If he wanted to he could report me. That wouldn't go so well.

Going through the front door wouldn't be smart, so I had to come in through the roof. It was good to know that Rick Henson lived in a penthouse. His guards would be downstairs and would never think of protecting the roof.

I looked down at Henson's huge ceiling to floor window. I frowned. Rich bitch taking money from the poor. We needed this. Rae and I needed this for the others.

I turned to Dem. "Lower me down towards his window. Don't let me go, or I'll kill you."

Dem stared at me. "So you do this as an everyday thing?"

I sighed. "I used to do this. I needed to. My godfather went out of business so he cut me off. I needed to help."

"With what?" Dem asked.

"Hey, stop blubbering. We have a tight time frame." Rae said in our ears pieces.

I grabbed the end of the roof and flipped myself over to the window. I quickly pushed in the glass and it shattered in perfectly. Dem grabbed my hoodie and shoved me in. Then he swung himself down.

"He's not here in this room. Or I would've heard him." I whispered in my bluetooth.

"West wing." Rae said. "Two people are in there. Make it quick."

I got up and walked towards the west wing. I heard two people taking.

"Did you hear that Rick? It sounded like glass."

"Don't worry baby, it was probably one of my guards. Its okay I can replace it. Now lets get back to what we were doing."

I heard giggles right after. My lip raised in disgust. I walked towards the bedroom. Kicking the door in, I walked right in.

I frowned. Wrong room. It was just an office. I went to walk in more, but Dem wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back. His whole chest pressed against my back. I glared at him. "What's with you?"

"Motion detectors. I smelled them. They could've blew our cover." He whispered in my ear. His breath was hot and warm in my ear. I shivered.

"Thanks." I whispered. I wished for the pain in my heart to go away.

His warm arms were still around me. "Be careful."

I nodded. Eli would of never did that. "I will." I pushed away from him and stared at the motion detectors. "Problem Rae. Motion detectors in his office."

"I'll hack in and fix it." Rae said.

"Roger that."

I heard something click and then Dem pushed me in. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I stepped into the room.

"We need to find something that'll ruin him. We need his secrets. We need to find a safe or something." I explained.

Dem and I split up, and started rummaging in Henson's office. I moved to his closet and opened it. It was just full of useless suits.

"I think I got something. False drawer bottom." Dem showed me an open desk drawer with a combination lock.

I touched it and frowned. I would have to open it. Taking out a lock neutralizer, I opened the false drawer. There was stacks of files and files. I grabbed them and started flipping through them. Papers of property's he owned, one of them being a warehouse. Another one asking for a hit man to take out someone. I didn't know who. I looked through more seeing if there was a name. But there was only a series of numbers. It was some sort of code and it took over two whole pages. I would have to let Rae decode this.

"He's coming!" Dem whispered. I quickly shoved the papers back in and closed the drawer. Looking around, I opened the closet and dragged Dem in with me.

Dem's arms went around my wrist and pulled me deeper into the closet just in case Henson would open it.

"See Carla no one's in here. You're just hearing things. Come, lets go back to the room." His voice wandered closer to us.

"Are you sure? I could've sworn I heard something." The female voice seemed truly confused.

Suddenly the door opened, I was just about to gasp when Dem's hand locked over my mouth. Henson looked inside and chuckled. "You see no ones in here, darling. Lets go back in."

The door was closed and I took a deep breath. Dem's body pressed against mine. I quickly got out the closet and glared at him. "Come on we have to kill him now."

I kicked the door down and glared at Rick. "Get up." I aimed my gun at him.

The girl screamed. I glared at her shoved her away. Rick screamed. I grabbed his neck and threw him out his room. I shot him on the side of his head and grabbed his hand. He left his fingerprints on and I smiled. "Suicide." Demetri whispered. "Good one."

The girl was screaming. I frowned and grabbed her neck and snapped it.

"Lets go. Rae pull the van over."

"A okay." Rae said.

I opened the door and locked it closed. Dem and I ran downstairs and went out to the back door. We piled in the car. I took off my gloves. "Flawless kill."

"Good job." Rae smiled.

"This is what you guys used to do?" Demteri asked.

I nodded. "Yeah."

"Wow." Dem muttered. I didn't know if that was a good 'wow' or a bad 'wow'. "Do we go back to Shadow Creek now?"

"You can. I'm going to stay here for the week. I'm going to Webster Hall tomorrow. Let go of some bloodlust."

Rae grinned. "I agree with you on that one." I didn't knew she was a Fae until recently. That is why she was taken. It was cool that she didn't have any problems with werewolves. Her brother was one.

"Mmm. I want to grab a human and just. . . well anyway." I glanced sheepishly at Demetri.

Rae smiled. "Demetri right?"

"Yeah."

"You guys dating, right?"

"Oh hell no. He is just my shadow. Keeping my control in check and he is my thrall." I said.

"Oh." Rae sighed. "I'm a romantic Dem, so hearing her say that it hurts me. I have hope for you two."

"Rae, I have a girlfriend." Demetri said.

My eyes almost popped out of my sockets. "You have a girlfriend?"

"Yeah." Of course he did. He's fucking hot.

"You offered to have sex with me."

"To get rid of your bloodlust."

I nodded. "Oh."

"Okay guys goodnight." Rae says quickly.

"Bye Rae." I got out the car. Why did I feel bothered with Dem having a girlfriend? I didn't like him. He was a werewolf.

"Goodnight Rae." Dem closed the door.

I walked into my place. I was so exhausted I just wanted to plop into bed.

"I'm going to head in early." I mumbled.

"Goodnight. I'm going to make a call outside if you need me."

"Girlfriend?"

"Yeah. I want to check on her."

My stomach dropped, but I didn't know why. "Oh okay. She a werewolf?"

"Yea. Her name is Gemma."

I nodded. I didn't asked for her life story, but whatever. "Good for you."

Dem smiled and walked out. I changed into my pj's and went to bed, hoping these weird feelings would go away.
