^Connor's P.O.V.^
Lilly and I locked the front door and now stood on the sidewalk outside of Cash's house.
"Where is he?" I asked her.
"Colton County State Prison." She replied.
"How are we going to get there?"
"We can call a cab." She said, nonchalantly.
The fact that she thought nothing of that bothered me.
"No." I said, trying to hide my emotions.
"Well, I don't see a giant limo following us around waiting to take us wherever we need to go." She barked, chugging down half a water bottle.
I almost flinched at her tone.
"Sorry, I get sarcastic when I'm worried." She commented.
"I remember that," I said, tapping my feet.
Anything, but a cab.
"What about your parents?" I suggested, grinding my teeth.
The memory of her parents were half-pleasant, half-horrible, and I didn't want to be put in a small secluded space with her father.
I'd probably need to go to the prison for completely different reasons if that were the case
"Not them." She said.
She had a certain emotion in her tone that I couldn't decipher.
"Who else do you know here?" I asked
"You know who else.." She said, trailing off with her sentence.
Don't even think about it, Lilly.
"Well, looks like we're walking." I said, sternly.
"Or we can just take a cab." She repeated, shrugging.
"Fine." I caved.
She called a cab and fifteen minutes later, we were stuck in traffic.
We finally arrived to the prison almost a half an hour later.
I've never wanted to get out of a car so badly.
There was so much tension between us.
Like we didn't just make love the night before.
We pulled up to the front gate and got out of the cab.
I wouldn't let her pay for the cab ride. I don't know what's going to happen with us after getting Cash back and I want her to have all the money she needs if something bad happens.
I got out and opened her door.
We hurried to the front gate.
(A/N: I don't know how prisons work.)
There were two police officers standing outside the gate. They eyed us before letting us through.
There was a giant metal detector as soon as you stepped through the doors of the prison.
I walked through it after Lilly, and we stepped up to the front desk.
"Visitor's pass?" The man at the front desk asked.
"No, we're here to bail someone out." I said.
"Last name." The man asked
"Franta." I stated.
