I looked up at Jacob.

"I'm sorry, I got snot and tears all over your shirt." I said, backing away from him.

"That's okay, hun. You're hurting." He said, wiping my face with his shirt.

"I can't believe I just did that to him. I can't believe I hurt him like that." I cried.

"Don't think about it. Just..here-" He said, handing me the bag of Chinese food.

"Thanks." I said, sniffling.

I opened the bag and sat at the small table.

"Do you think that guy will leave you alone now?" He asked.

"I hope so. Frankly, I don't really care if he doesn't, as long as Connor's safe." I said, shrugging, and stuffing lo-mein into my mouth.

"And you deny your love for him." He said, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Shut up!" I laughed. "I just really care about him."

"Sounds like love to me." He mumbled.

"Let's build a fort!" He said, excitedly.

"Jacob, how old are you?" I asked.

"Don't you dare try to put age on building a fort, what kind of monster are you?! It's unlimited. I'm twenty-two, by the way. Meaning, I can drink in a blanket fort if I want to and no one can tell me anything!" He laughed.

We grabbed the blanket from the bed and blanket from the floor.

We got the table and the chairs and set them in place.

The fort came out perfectly. It was small, but even, and it could fit both of us.

"There's a lot of things you can do in a blanket fort," he said, winking. "Like play cards." He said, pulling a deck of cards from his pocket.

"So, does that mean you're done hitting on me?"

"You literally just had a break up, bumblebee. I wouldn't do that to you. I know I'll get my chance with you, someday. For now, let's just focus on cards." He said, shuffling the deck.

Before we could start anything, we heard a noise.

*ring ring*

It was Jacob's phone.

(Did I scare you? Lol ;D)

"Carla's Cab Service." Jacob said, answering the call. "Yes...mhmm..okay..I will.." He finished and hung up the phone.

"I have to go pick someone up, will you be okay by yourself?" He asked, worriedly.

"I'm not a baby, Jacob, I'll be fine." I nodded.

"Okay, but if anything happens, you'll call me right?" He asked, concerned.

"Yes, Jacob, I'll call you if I need anything, which I won't." I said, shooing him away with my hands. "Go." I smiled.

"I'll be back in an hour tops!" He said, walking out of the door.

"What about your food?" I called.

"Leave it in the mini fridge!" He called back.

The door slammed behind him, so when I turned back to the blanket fort, it had collapsed.

I shrugged, and finished my Chinese food.

I grabbed a pillow to my chest and pulled my laptop out of my suitcase.
