Jessie's P.O.V
Of course, Liam went in for another kiss and my friends were awkwardly standing there, mumbling profanities as we continued on.
I held up my middle finger. "My birthday, guys. I can kiss him as many times as I want to," I mumbled and kissed him again.
Liam shrugged. "I feel like it's my birthday," he said before kissing me again.
"Okay, okay, that's enough PDA for one morning. Move along," Jay coughed out and tried seperating us, but we wouldn't budge from our intimate hug.
I tightened my grip around Liam's torso and placed my head on his chest. "Sorry, Jay."
"You jealous?" Liam asked him with a wink.
Jay scoffed and crossed his arms. "Honey, you've got a big storm coming." He shook his head disapprovingly.
Liam shrugged and placed a kiss on my temple. "Still love her all the same. Let the storms come, my friend."
I giggled and rolled my eyes. "What now? Let me guess: you guys are gonna force me to get dressed for Panera, and you will drag me out the door whilst singing happy birthday," I predicted in a monotoned voice.
Sterling gasped and pointed at me. "For once, she's wrong about it!" he shrieked, clutching on to Isaiah's shirt afterward. "She's wrong!"
The rest of my group grinned at the scene and even I was surprised that I was wrong.
"Wait, I'm actually wrong?" I scrunched my nose and looked up at Liam. "This is a joke, right?"
"Nope," Sammy sang happily. "We canceled Panera."
My eyes widened and I raised my eyebrows. "Okay, you did what now?" I asked, clearly confused about what was going on. "Somebody please catch me up on what we're doing."
"Well, since you hate your birthday so much," Jay began with a roll of his eyes, "we decided to spend it with you in private, instead of making it such a big deal."
Ava then pulled out a box of popcorn bags from behind her, and shook it happily. "Consider this a Netflix and chill day."
Just as she said that, all of us exploded in shocked whoa's, leaving Ava confused as hell.
She widened her eyes. "What? What? What happened? What did I say?" she asked as she frantically backed up against my wall.
I coughed a little and held out my hand. "Ave, do you have any idea what that means?" I asked her carefully.
"Obviously not? What?" she asked again, looking at all of us with the most confused face ever.
Liam chuckled and shook his head. "Wow. She's so innocent, it's kinda adorable. First she censors her curses, and now she says Netflix & Chill without knowing the true meaning."
"Ava? Censored?" I scoffed and crossed my arms. "She censors her curses in real life, but when you look at her Twitter and all her online books that she's been writing, she curses like a sailor," I revealed with a wink towards my beyond embarassed best friend.
"It means sex," Jay spat confidently.
She widened her eyes and shrieked a little. "NOT WHAT I MEANT! NOT WHAT I MEANT!" she shouted, pacing around my room as if she were just told it was the end of the world.
"Chill, Ava," Isaiah said with a small chuckle. "It's okay. It's good that you don't know that. It means the world hasn't corrupted you."
Ava scoffed and began to leave the room. "Boy am I glad that it hasn't. Screw you guys! I'm getting a cupcake!" she shouted as the sound of her voice trailed off into the distance.
