Liam's P.O.V

8AM on a Saturday. Damn it, the things I do for my fucking girlfriend...who I tend to love very very much, and whose brithday happened to be today.

I yawned for the umpteenth time and rubbed my eyes, taking another long sip of coffee.

Ava strolled in to her kitchen and smiled at me. "Enjoying the coffee?" she asked kindly and opened her refrigerator.

"Mhmm," I replied tiredly through another sip. Licking my lips, I thoughtfully pulled my eyebrows together and asked, "What brand is this? I like it very much."

"Starbucks," she said as if it were obvious. "What else would I ever buy?"

I shrugged and placed the mug down. "You have got a point there, missy."

She giggled to herself and shook her head.

I then leaned back in my chair and sighed. "So," I turned to her, "who else is coming, and when? Because I didn't think nobody would show up at the call time that we stressed countless times about."

She walked over and sat with me at the kitchen table, pushing me a bagel. "Yeah, I should have warned you about that. Our group isn't very well at showing up on time."

I took a bite of the bagel. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." She smiled. "The least I can do for you giving me a ride to Jessie's, is making you breakfast." She folded her hands together. "And to answer your question, Jay is already waiting at Jessie's house, Sterling usually arrives thirty minutes late, Sammy said she's on her way, and umm," she shifted uncomfortably and mumbled, "Isaiah is almost there."

I nearly choked on my coffee when she said that. "Wait, what? He's still coming?!"

"Shh!" she shushed me, and looked towards the stairs, worried about her parents waking up. "Frick, Liam. Keep your voice down! My parents sleep in on Saturdays."

I chuckled lightly and scoffed. "Did you just say frick?"

"Oh, zip it. You know I don't curse. Don't you judge me, sir." She huffed and rolled her eyes, causing me to only laugh more.

"Back to the point, though," I said, remembering why I had yelled in the first place. "Why the hell is he still coming, and why did no one tell me that he was?"

She huffed again and looked at me. "No one had to tell you, Liam. He is our friend. He's been our friend since freshman year-"

"Until he fucked someone else other than Jessie," I muttered under my breath.

"Liam," she said through gritted teeth.

"What?" I shrugged.

"Can't you two be civil? For one day?" she pleaded.

"Give me one reason why I should give a chance to the fucker who cheated on my girlfriend?" I sneered, hating the fact that he was still going. "If he's going, then don't be surprised if you find a fake bug in his popcorn. Or maybe a small fish in his soda. Who knows?"

"You are being ridiculous."

"Absurdity is my specialty," I shrugged with a wink.
