Liam's P.O.V
Judging by Jessie's reaction to my gift, I knew I had given her the right one. I felt as if today had been the greatest day I had spent with her--then again, every single day with her gets better. Being who I am, I was the very last person to leave her house today. I just couldn't have a bunch of people standing around while I gave her a new type of kiss.
"Liam!" she had shouted when I basically stuck the tip of my tongue in her mouth.
"What?" I chuckled, unaffected, going for another kiss.
"Wait wait-" Her voice became muffled by my mouth on hers, and I repeated the same process.
As soon as I pulled away, she was the one to breathe out the word, "whoa."
"Yeah?" I agreed, nodding my head and dipping my head towards her once again.
"Wholly shit, do that again," she had said and basically pulled me to her like she was my only source of gravity.
Smiling at the rememberance of her actions, I pulled into my driveway and put my car in park. Sighing happily and leaning back in my seat, I allowed all the butterflies to erupt before finally looking out my window at my front porch.
However, there was something completely strange about my porch at the moment. Someone was there, pacing back and forth on it, which transformed all my happiness into complete worry.
Prepared to defend myself, I got out of the car and made my way over to the unlit porch. Then, I heard something else that threw me off a little bit. Hard breathing and soft sobbing escaped from the person, and I slowly came to realize just who it was.
"Calum?" I called, causing him to turn around.
He faced me completely, yet still his features were quite dark, lacking the light.
"Liam?" his broken voice choked out, revealing hurt.
"Cal!" I shouted in a panic, dashing towards him and coming to his aide. "Jesus, Cal! What's wrong?" I asked, flicking on the porch lights. His weeping continued and I stopped in my tracks as soon as I noticed the blood pouring out of his mouth. Placing my hands on his shoulders, I tried taking a better look as to what gash he was bleeding out of, but he tried his best to look away. Angrily, I forced him to look at me. "Who did this?" I asked, having an idea as to who did this to him.
Through the heaving and tears, he was finally able to utter the name, "Michael," and that was enough for me to become furious.
Jessie's P.O.V
Eyeing the CD that Liam had given me, I smiled and remembered that amazing kiss that he tried on me tonight. I was slightly surprised at first, considering I had never received a kiss so passionately before, but the moment he did it, I admit...I loved it.
Finally snapping out of my butterfly trance, I placed the CD into my laptop and was surprised to see that it was not just a music file, but it was an actual video. Smiling, I pressed play.
"Hey Jess! Happy Birthday! I really hope you liked your little private birthday surprise. I just want you to know that you're the most amazing girl I have ever met, and...I can't believe that even after everything we've been through, you're still in love with me." He paused a little and smiled down at the ground, then returned his eyes to the camera. "So, I wrote you this song, Jess. It's a song I wrote about you a while back, and I hope you like it." He positioned his guitar and began a simple and cute stumming pattern that I immediately loved.
