Liam's music was beyond phenomenal. We've been driving around for quite a while now, and I don't think I have enjoyed music in the car as much as I had now. It made me feel some type of way, which I truly loved feeling.

I turned to him with a smile. "You're really good at this," I told him as I continued to listen to his song titled, Stockholm Syndrome. "Can I make a copy of this CD?" I asked as his smile grew.

He chuckled. "There are extras in the glove compartment. You can have one if you want," he said and motioned towards the compartment in front of me.

"Really?" I gasped and opened it, seeing five individual CD's in cases.

"Yeah, go ahead. I really have nothing to do with them. They've been sitting there for as long as I can remember."

"Wow, thank you," I said as I slipped one into my bag.

"Consider it a... gateway to my soul," he said dramatically. "Maybe listening to those songs will give you an insight to my creative side." He bit his lip and laughed nervously. "I really hope you like what's on there. I haven't written any new ones lately. I hope those old ones meet your liking."

I tightened my grip on his hand. "I already like the ones that have previously played. Why wouldn't I like the rest of them?" I shrugged. "Honestly, Liam, you're so talented. I haven't written a song since freshman year. This," I motioned towards the CD, "is so great."

He smiled and ran a hand through his hair. "Shit, Jess. The things you do to my feelings," he said and brought my hand up to his lips, planting a kiss on it.

I grinned and looked out the window, still wondering where the hell we were going.

"So," he breathed and turned a corner. "Do you have any idea where we are?" He asked.

I looked around, noticing a few familiar details, but I still had absolutely no idea where we were.

"It looks very familiar, I can tell you that," I said to him.

He tiny smile grew on his face. "Maybe when I turn the next corner, you'll know where we are."

Sure enough, when he turned the corner, I saw the view that I have not seen in a while. A wide lake lay before me, stretching far and wide. Right on the edge of the water was a little diner that held a world of arcade games.

I gasped and turned to him. "Oh my god, you brought me to the diner!" I placed a hand on my heart and watched the lake as he began to park the car in one of the designated parking space areas.

He smiled widely and put the car in park. "Yeah, I did. This is where it all started, Jess." He took my hand again and gripped it. "This is where we started."

My heart did a little fluttering as the sweetness of his words penetrated my feelings. Who knew that someplace so simple could mean so much?

"Come on," he told me and stepped out of his truck.

I excitedly stepped out as well, joining hands with him the moment I slammed the door shut.

We leisurely walked towards the diner, but something seemed a little off about where we were headed. He began tugging me towards the lake instead of the building that held the arcade games in which we first connected.

I stopped a little, nonverbally questioning where he was going, but he continued tugging me alone.

"Come on, trust me," he said lowly with that smile I loved so much.

There was something behind that smile that told me that something big was about to happen. Of course I did not want to assume what, but I would like to hope it is what I'm thinking about.
