Liam and I went from screaming at each other, to laughing our asses off within minutes, and it just felt great. He kept reaching over to poke my cheek to keep me smiling, and it worked for the first couple minutes, then it just became a giggling fit of telling him to stop.
"Do you want to get into a car accident?" I giggled as I pushed his hand away for the umpteenth time.
He shrugged. "I'm a pro at driving. I've done other things while doing it, and it did not have to do with the face." He winked at me, implying a dirty joke.
My mouth dropped open and he smirked with pride at my horrified expression.
Thousands of possibilities flashed through my mind of him either fondling a girls chest, or teasing her by rubbing between her thighs.
The thought killed me a lot more than it should have, for the feeling of jealousy & hurt filled my chest, swallowing my heart in the process. Ava warned me that he was the kind of guy who would do such a thing, and I let myself fall for him anyway. Little did I know it would have some sort of effect when I realized that even if he does like me in that way, he still has his name stained on other girls lips, and not in a pleasant way.
"Did you really?" I asked him somewhat casually, but my voice gave away my obvious jealousy. However, it was not my right to be jealous, because he was not even mine.
He seemed to notice, but I guess he was pretended he didn't, for he just shrugged as if it were nothing to him, or to me.
"Yeah, but then I never really..." He cleared his throat and sighed. "Nothing."
There it is again. The word nothing. Why in the world would someone create the word nothing to say when excusing yourself from saying something? Whenever the word nothing is said, there is always something.
However, I did not want to turn that into an issue. I nodded, not wanting to ruin the moment that we were already in. Again, we were doing so good, but there was always that one thing to ruin it.
What made me really wonder if he liked me the way I liked him, was that speech he gave about caring for me. Was that his way of telling me he liked me? Or was it his way of telling me that I'm a really good friend?
Embarrassed, I looked out the window and found that we were almost to my house.
The annoying GPS woman told us the destination was ahead, and to continue driving 50 or so feet. Like, thank you for being detailed about how many feet to drive. What do you think I'm gonna do? Pull out a ruler and measure 50 of them? No way in hell.
He smacked the GPS off, thank goodness, and parked the truck in my house's driveway.
I unbuckled my seatbelt and noticed that my parents' cars were also parked in the driveway.
They're home early today, I'm impressed.
This gave me a nice idea.
I tugged Liam's arm. "Hey, come with me and meet my family." It came out as if I wanted my boyfriend to meet my parents, but it was way too late to stop the words that already came out of my mouth. I wanted Liam to meet my parents, however, one thing was missing... he wasn't my boyfriend.
I expected him to freak out or something, maybe even refuse, but his eyes just widened in shock.
"Really? You'd want that?" He asked me.
I laughed and nodded. "Yeah, I mean...why not? You've been dropping me off and picking me up lately. Why not meet the people who made all this?" I motioned to my body and wriggled my eyebrows as a joke.
