Melody
"Not again", I mumble to my self as the school bus approaches my new school. This is my 10th school in the past 5 years. Dads job makes us move around a lot. Its the most horrible thing in the entire world. I'm sick and tired of being pulled out of school as soon as I start to feel comfortable and have friends. Mom and dad promise this will be the last switch until I graduate next year but I doubt it. It feels like I'm going to be known as the new girl for the rest of my life. Ugh!
"Melody! Melody! Melody! " my younger sister Lilly shouts to me as the school bus stops in front of Lakeside Mountain High School. Lilly with her bright blue eyes and beautiful curly blonde hair is always excited about going to knew schools. She is always so happy and she says it's a new adventure each time. Sometimes I don't even understand how we are related. We honestly don't even look alike. I'm a ugly poopy brunette with blue eyes, but there not like her blue eyes. Her eyes are like the sparkling ocean mine are more like the blue in the sky all light with nothing interesting about them.
We walk off the bus and Lilly runs off to her freshman classes ready to meet new people. I on the other hand am just going to sneak my way past all the juniors in sight and try not to talk to anyone. I'm trying my hardest not to make friends this time cause I just get pulled away from them. Lilly doesn't understand the pain in this. We started moving when she was nine she barely knew what friendship was. I had to move when I was thirteen. I got pulled away from my best friend, Everly. Everly and I did everything together! We had millions of plans for our future but in an instant they were all torn to shreds. It was one of the most painful things I have ever had to face.

Everly and I still occasionally talk over the phone but it's just not the same. We used to talk everyday but as the years have gone by its more like once every six months. And when we do talk it's more like "hey" , "How are you" and that's about it. It's just a horrible feeling and I hate it!
"Hi, I'm Kelly! What's your name!" A girl in a cheer outfit enthusiastically announced to me.
"Hi I'm melody", I said very quietly and reserved hoping she will go away

" I can't help but notice you are new hear!!!! I hope you are thinking about joining the cheer squad! We can become life long friends!"

"Cheer isn't really my thing..." I awkwardly told her and walked away.
Yikes! That was horrible, hopefully I don't see her around to much. I keep trying to stay to my self but it seems like the more I do the more people talk to me. I've never seen people so polite in any of the schools I have attended.

I head to my first class, Algebra 3, and I take a seat in the back of the class, but of course the teacher had to announce a new student. I am being forced to stand up and tell the class my name. I look around at all the students, and they are all so different. Some are total nerds, some are obviously popular, some are just plain weird, but then there's this one boy who just seems to stand out the most to me. He is for sure the most attractive guy here, he is just flat out perfect. He has the same eyes as Lilly the ones that sparkle like ocean, and his hair, oh my his hair. It's the perfect beach blonde color, and it's not to short. His hair is a little longer then most guys around here and I love the long hair on guys. I don't know if I'm going to be able to contain myself with such an attractive guy in my class. The class is staring at me like im insane, I've been starring at this guy for so long I realize I haven't said my name yet!

"Oh um I'm Melody," I awkwardly say after minutes of silence.

"Hello Melody, I'm Mrs. White, you Algebra 3 teacher. Where did you move here from?"

" I moved to Arizona from Maine for my fathers job, this is my 10th school in 5 years."

"Uhhhhhhhhh" the class gasps after I revealed that information.

"Oh so you must be pretty good at this new student stuff huh" Mrs. White says with a slight giggle.

I laugh then take my seat once again. That was incredibly embarrassing and I bet you that hot mystery man wont be talking to me anytime soon. It's probably for the best I don't want to get attached to anything here...
