We arrived to the Dingo and I see the gang and they looked annoyed. Johnny was there but he had his arm around a girl. The girl was Amber, of course. We went to the booth they were at and Amber gave me a glare. "Look who is here. The girl who punches people for no reason." She snapped. "And look who's here the girl who is trying to have my life." I snapped back "Watch it Mathews." "Which one there is two of us." Two-bit said. I chuckled. "Oh look the big brother is here to save the day." She said. "Watch it Amber!" "Edith let's go to a different booth." Two-bit said. I nodded and left. After we ordered our food the gang came and sat with us. They left Johnny and Amber alone. "We don't like her. She is annoying. All she talks about is herself. She is always talking and talking." Steve said. "You guys want her in the gang? Cause if you do I'm out." I said. "NOOO!!!" They all said. Even Darry. So that made me laugh harder. "We want you! We love you." Darry said. All of us laughed. Johnny and Amber got up and left. Johnny looked like he hated to be with her. "New years party next week!" Dally said breaking me out of my thoughts. We all cheered. "Pony is actually going to have a new years kiss!" Soda said. Ariana and Pony blushed. "Don't even think about it Pony!" Dally said. "Come on Dal let the boy kiss his girlfriend. They have been dating for a month." I said. "Alright whatever." Ariana and Pony gave me a face that said "Thank You." I just nodded. "Who wants to go to a movie?" Darry asked. "All of us!!" Steve said. "Yeah!"
We paid and left. We saw a fight in the drive In. It was two girls. A soc and a middle class. "Aye it's Cherry and Amber!" Dally said. "Who's winning?" I asked. "Cherry!" He called back. I went to look and I see them on the floor fighting. Dal was right Cherry was winning. I look around the crowd and I didn't see Johnny. Where is he? I went away from the fight and went to go look for him. I searched the whole drive in and I didn't see him. The fight was over. "Alright slut where is Johnny!" I asked Amber while pulling her hair. "I don't know. I was trying to get at this soc he was really cute that I turned around and I didn't see Johnny anymore." Amber said while wiping her blood. "You slut!" I punched her. Why would she do that to Johnny! "Ima go find him. Two-bit give me one of your switchblades." He pulled one out and gave me it.
I left the drive in and I started to search for him. "Johnny!" I called out. The first place I searched was his house. His parents know me and they don't have a problem with me. I asked them to stop hurting Johnny and they said okay. But I don't think they did which got me mad. I went into his house and they greeted me. "Hello Edith!" "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Cade have you seen Johnny." "No he hasn't been in here." "Can I go to his room?" I asked. "Sure go ahead." I went into his room and I got one of his white t-shirts cause I didn't have one on. I only had Two-bit's leather jacket but it was zipped up. I put my hair in a pony tail and put a little grease on it. I grabbed his switchblade and left his room. "Is he up there?" Mrs. Cade asked. "No. But I have to go." They nodded and I left. I needed to find Johnny. I went to the Curtis house and he wasn't there either. Well no one was there to be exact. I went to the park and he wasn't there. We would always go there and sit underneath a tree. I check the tree and nothing. Last place to check was the lot. I went there and I heard crying. "I really love her! Its my fault she is mad at me." It was Johnny. "Johnny? Johnny baby?" I said. I would call him 'Johnny Baby' when he is upset. He looked up. "Edith I'm sorry! I'm so sorry please forgive me! Amber was a mistake!" He stood up and hugged me. "It's okay Johnny I forgive you. Don't worry." I said calmly. He was in tears which broke my heart so my eyes got watery. "I want you to tell me what happen at the drive in. We went there and saw that Cherry and Amber were fighting and I asked Amber why and she told me everything. She said how you went missing. I punched her cause she shouldn't be doing that to you." "Thanks princess. And well we were sitting down in those uncomfortable chairs and we saw Cherry and Bob there. They sat right in front of us. Amber started to touch Bob's hair and flirt with him. I told her that I was gonna get candy and she said okay. But I didn't I left. I knew that I didn't want her." He told me. "She is gonna get it don't worry." I told him and he hugged me again. "Let's go back to the Curtis House." I said. "Alright. Let me give you a piggy back ride." He said. "No. I'm fat." I said looking down. He looked at my stomach and laughed. "Your not fat your skinny. Come on!" I laughed. "Okay fine." I got on his back and he carried me to the Curtis House.
