Edith's P.O.V (Continued)
We arrived at Buck's place, it was loud. We went in and there was a lot of people. There was people dancing and drinking. I wanted to dance so bad so I grabbed Ariana and went to go dance with her. Everyone joined us. "You want a beer?" Two-bit asked. "Yeah" I said. He went to the bar. A few minutes later he came back and gave me one. We chugged it down. Everyone started to drink except Soda and Ariana. Soda doesn't need beer. He just gets drunk on plain living. It's fun with him though. Ariana didn't drink cause of Dally. I never seen Johnny drink to be honest so it was surprising when I saw him drinking one. Ariana, Johnny, Pony and I went to go sit down. Two-bit brought me another beer since we chugged it. I was drinking until a slow song came on I saw Darry and this girl dancing, Dally and this girl, Soda with this girl, Steve and Two-bit were dancing together I started to laugh, Pony asked Ariana to dance so they went, it was just me and Johnny. Soda saw us sitting down and went to go talk to Johnny. When they came back Johnny asked me if I wanted to dance. He looked nervous. I smiled and accpeted. Johnny was a good dancer. I looked at Soda and mouthed 'Thank You' he smiled. "You did know your beautiful right?" Johnny told me. "Oh Johnny that's just the booze talking." I told him. "No I'm serious I only drank one but that didn't get to me. You really are beautiful." He told me with a smile. "Your not bad your self." I said and he chuckled. He kissed my forehead and we continued dancing.
Soda's P.O.V
As I was dancing with this one girl I saw Johnny and Edith just sitting at the table alone. I told the girl I would be back she said okay. I asked Johnny if we could talk and he said yea. "Hey Johnnycake ask Edith to dance. I know you like her." I said smiling. "Don't tell her that I like her please! And yeah I was going to ask her but I got nervous." Johnny said. "But she's my best friend I can't keep anything from her!" I whined. "Please Soda." He begged. I laughed and said "Okay I won't tell her just go dance with her." "Thanks Soda" he said with a smile. I went back with the girl and said "Sorry I had to help my best friend get her dream guy." She smiled and we went back to dancing. I looked at Johnny and he went to go ask Edith and she accepted. Edith said "Thank you" and I just smiled. I'm glad I help her.
Johnny's P.O.V
I'm glad Soda help me. I do like Edith but I'm scared to ask her to be my girl. Pony is doing a good job with Ariana. They both like each other but they don't know it. When the song was over I couldn't help my self so I kissed her not on the fore head on the lips.
Ariana's P.O.V
Dancing with Pony was great. We stared into each other's eyes his greenish-gray eyes were beautiful. He hugged me and asked "Can I talk to you outside?" "Sure" I replied. We were heading out when I see Johnny and Edith kiss. I knew Johnny liked her but he never admitted it. I smlied and went outside with Pony. He looked nervous. "Well Ariana look your beautiful and since they first day I met you I been having this crush on you. So will you be my girl?" I looked at him and smiled and said "Yes I would love to be your girlfriend!" "Really? That's great!" He said and he hugged me. After hugging he looked at me and kissed me. I kissed back. We pulled away and we went back into the party. I honestly can't wait to tell Edith.
Edith's P.O.V
Johnny kissed me. I thought this never was going to happen. I really like Johnny but I never thought he liked me. I will tell Soda about this later on. I was tired but I didn't want to leave the party. I went to talk to Buck. "Hey Buck." "Hey princess." He said. Yes Buck Merrill also calls me princess. "What you been up to?" "Nothing trying to keep Dally of trouble." "Oh Buck that's never going to happen. The only one who could make him stay out of trouble was Mrs. Curtis but she isn't with us anymore. May she rest in peace." I said. "Yeah your right princess. Want a beer?" He asked. "Sure." I said and he gave me a beer and I started to drink it. Buck left to talk to some other guys. Buck and I had a bond that no other 15 year old will have with him. Ariana and I talked to him but I talked to him more than Ariana. "Time to go" Darry said. Everyone came except for Dally and Two-bit. We said our goodbyes and we started to walk. Everyone was drunk even me. Soda carried me and I fell asleep.
I woke up with the sun hitting my face. I had a huge headache. Ugh. I saw that I was in a room I never seen before. I was in Mr and Mrs. Curtis room. I saw that Ariana was next to me and Johnny was on the floor. It was 7am and school doesn't start until 7:45am and I have to go to work at 8am. I went down stairs and I saw that Darry was already cooking eggs and bacon. "Good morning Dar Bear. Do you have aspirins I need to get rid of this hangover." I said. "I swear your just like your brother and Dally combined" he said laughing and he handed me the aspirins. I just smiled and took the aspirins. "Wake Pony and the rest for me please?" "Sure" I went to the room I was in. "Wake up!!! Time to go to school!!" I yelled and they got up. "Dally said I can't go to school until you go back." Ariana said. "I know pumpkin go to sleep. Johnny wake up!" He stood up quickly. I winked at him and went to Pony's and Soda's room. I tripped and fell. I got up and saw that I tripped on a Steve. "Wake up horseman!! You have school!! Steve!!! Soda!!! Wake up we have to go to work!!!" I yelled and they woke up instantly. "It's Ponyboy not horseman." Pony said. I just smiled and left. They all came down and sat at the table and started to eat. Pony finished and asked if he could talk to me. We went outside. "What's up?" "Well me and Ariana are dating" he said blushing. "What that's great! Wish you the best! Don't hurt her though." I told him as I hugged him. We got up and we went back inside and Steve, Soda and I needed to go to work.
I went to go change. I put on blue jeans, white T-shirt and white converse. I grabbed my DX shirt and put it on. I put a little bit of make-up and I put my hair in a ponytail. I walk down stairs and Johnny stared at me. "Buddy I think you want to close your mouth there." Steve told him and Johnny turned red. "Where's Ariana?" Darry asked. "She's not going to school Dally said that she won't be going unless I'm there." I told him and he nodded. "Let's go to work" Soda said as he put his DX hat on me. "Okay then and let me call Ariana." "Don't worry I'm already here!" Ariana said. I smiled and said "Let's go to work Ariana." "Okay" she said.
We left and started to walk. There was a blue mustang trailing us. Ariana was next to Steve and I was next to Soda. Steve put an arm around Ariana and Soda put an arm around me to get them mad. The mustang stopped. Great. Bob and Randy came out. It was only them that is strange. "What do you want idiots?" I said. "We want you." "Why do you want them?" Soda asked as he pulled me closer to him. "These girls are the prettiest girls in town. And we want them." Bob said. "Go back to your redhead!" Ariana said. "We want you! We ain't leaving until we get what we want!" Randy said. "Well you ain't getting them!" Steve yelled. They punched Steve so I punched Randy in the nose and Ariana punched Bob in the nose. They both got back to their car. "Are you okay Steve?" Ariana asked. "Yeah thanks for being there guys." Steve said. "Your welcome" we said together.
We arrived to the DX and I gave Steve ice since he had a bruise. Me and Ariana went to the cashier while Steve and Soda went to the garage. Ariana and I were messing around when Soda comes in. "Hey your supossed to be working! Not playing around." He said. "Oh stop being a party pooper" I said. "Shut up" he said laughing. "Soda!!" Steve yelled. "Coming!!" He said. "Be good" he said as he kissed our foreheads. "Okay" we said.
We had no costumers. "So spill the details!!" I said. "About what?" "You and Pony!! Give me the full story." "Well we were at the party and when we finished dancing he asked if we could talk and when we were going outside and I saw you and Johnny kiss. You need to tell me about that! And he said that he really liked me and that ever since he met me he always had a crush on me. Then he asked me out and I said yes. Now tell me about you and Johnny" "Aww cute!! And well we finished dancing and he looked into my eyes and he leaned in and kissed me." "Are you guys going to date??" She asked me. "I don't know if he likes me." I told her. "Whatever." Then she smiled. She is keeping something from me I see it in her smile I'm just not going to say anything. Our shift was boring so we went to help out the guys with the cars. "Hey we should go to The Dingo after work. I will pay for everyone." Steve asked. "Yeah sounds great!" We all said.
Our shift ended in 30 minutes. We were all happy to go. Our shift ended. Wow time went by fast. We left we headed off to go eat.
