I went to go sit down in the waiting room. It doesn't take a long time from the Curtis House to the hospital. I saw Darry and I ran to him. I hugged him. Darry was like a dad figure to me but Two-bit was more like a dad because he actually gets me in trouble. I told Darry the whole story while we were going back to Two-bit's room. He seemed upset about those damn Socs. When we went inside we saw that Johnny was awake. "Hey Johnny Cake." Darry said. "Hey Darry. Edith when did Ariana get here?" He greeted then asked me. "Um after cheer practice." I asked. "So an hour ago?" "Yeah something like that." Darry woke Ariana and Pony up. "Hey Darry." Pony and Ariana said. "Let's go home its getting late." Darry said. "I'm going to stay here with Edith." Pony said. I looked at Ariana and she gave him a face that said 'what the fuck.' "I have to go with you Darry, Dally will kill me if he doesn't know were I am at." Ariana said. "Yeah I will go too. I have to take a shower." Johnny said and I chuckled. "Alright then guys. See you tomorrow kids." Darry said. Ariana grabbed her stuff and left with Darry and Johnny right after they said 'Goodbye.'
When they left the hostpital Pony and I were just talking. He grabbed the chair Johnny was on and sat next to me. Two-bit still hasn't woken up and I'm starting to get worried. I called the doctor in and asked him about it and he said that he got kicked in the head really bad. I nodded and then he left the room. Pony was staring at me. "What?" I asked him. "Your beautiful." He said with a smirk. "Uh thanks horseman." I said. He got up from the chair and came close to me. His greenish gray eyes were sparking. That's weird they only sparkle when Ariana is around. "Pony what are you doing?" I asked as he got close to me. "Your really beautiful." "Thanks Two-bit always tells me that." He leaned in and tried to kiss me. "Ponyboy Michael Curtis! What the hell are you doing? Your dating Ariana. My own best friend." "I'm sorry! I don't know what came to me. Please don't tell her!" He begged. "Okay horseman but you have to promise me that you won't do it again." I said and he nodded.
After all that happened he spoke up. "Go to sleep Edith you need rest. You haven't slept all day." "No Pony, I'm going to stay awake until Two-bit is awake and I know he is okay." "Edith, please just sleep. It's not good for you to stay up like this." Why is Pony acting like he cares. He would usually not say anything and let me be me. "Please Edith its bad for you." "Why do you care all of a sudden?" I asked harshly. "What do you mean? I always cared about you." "Stop lying Ponyboy because you never cared if I stayed up late." "I don't care about that because it isn't worth to be getting mad about. I care when you get into fights or when you get hurt. Like that one time with Johnny and Amber, I knew you were heart broken and I got mad but I didn't show it. I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to make a big deal out of it." I didn't know what else to say. I hugged him for a really long time. "I'm sorry." I said, I was really close to tears. "Its okay Princess, Don't worry. Your like my sister and its my job to protect you." "Thanks Ponyboy." "Your welcome." "I'm still not falling asleep. You could go to sleep if you want." "No I'm fine. I will stay up with you." Pony said.
"Christmas next week." I said breaking the silence. "Yeah I know. I already know what I'm going to to get the gang." Pony said. "Me too." "Where am I?" I heard a familiar voice say. I looked up and saw that Two-bit woke up. "Brother?" "Baby Sister?" I heard him say. Tears filled my eyes because he was awake. "Your awake." "Yea. How did I get here?" "Well look you were jump by Socs but don't worry I'm going to take care of it." I said. "No baby sister I want you safe." "But Two-bit they hurt you!" "We will take them on together. Once I'm fully recovered." He said and I nodded. "Im tired. Let's go to sleep." Two-bit said. I was glad he said that because I was exhausted. Pony was on the chair and I was on the bed with Two-bit. We all eventually fell asleep. I don't know how Two-bit does it he was asleep for a whole day. I fell asleep thinking of that.
*Next day.*
I woke up and asked the doctor if Two-bit can leave. He said that whenever he wants to, he can. I asked Two-bit if he wanted to leave and he was like "Hell yea!" We got his stuff and left to our house. Pony was with us. He decided to shower at our house since we were already there. "Hey. I'm going Christmas Shopping. Be back in an hour." I said and they nodded. "No stealing!" Two-bit yelled. "Then give me money." "Okay here." He threw me his wallet and it was loaded with money. I looked at it and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. I wonder if he stole this from the socs that jumped him. "How much can I spend?" I asked. "All of it." He replied. I smiled and I grabbed my blade and put it in my pocket. I started walking to the stores for the Gang's presents. I found this really long and sharp looking blade for Two-bit. I got a jean jacket for Johnny, I got Dallas a chain with his initials, I got Darry a new set of tools and black boots, I got Pony a new blade and converse, I got Steve a new and cleaner Jean Vest, I got Soda new tools for the DX, flannels, three pairs of converse, and a teddy bear, and I got Ariana her some leather jackets, two pair of converse. She already has a blade so why am I going to get her another one. I paid and left back home. I only took two hours to go Christmas Shopping. "Hey Edith, what do you got there?" Pony asked. "Presents." I replied. "Can I see?" "No sorry Horseman." "Okay. Two-bit is asleep by the way." He said and I nodded. I went to mine and Two-bit's room and hid the presents in a good place. I went down stairs and saw that Pony was on the couch watching tv. I got on the couch and fell asleep.
*A Few Hours Later*
I woke up to my door bell ringing. I got up and went upstairs to check on Two-bit. I went down stairs and saw that both of the guys were asleep. I got water and heard my doorbell ring again. I went to go open the door. It was......
