THIRTY: TENSION

Mark's POV

"Hey. You ready?" Alyssa asked when she arrived at my place with Aubrey. It was time to head to PAX Prime, and she was driving us to the airport.

"Yep, let me just grab my bag," I answered. This was going to be the last convention or event of any kind that Alyssa would be able to go to for a while, because filming for Violets would start soon. I was hoping that it would be a really fun, painless weekend because of that.

The drive to the airport was quick (for LA) and the plane ride was somewhat boring, but that was pretty typical. By now I had been on planes probably a hundred or more times and I was used to it. I was just glad to get off of the plane and arrive in Seattle. It was Alyssa's first time there, so she took in all the sights as we headed to our hotel. It was pretty nice, but this was our one completely free day before the convention would officially start the next day. I wanted to actually get out and do something, maybe explore the area with Lys. It was about one in the afternoon and we were hungry, so we decided to go out for lunch and then walk around.

"I'm guessing we're going to meet up with everyone else later?" she asked after lunch while we were window shopping.

"Yeah, we'll probably all get dinner together. You can meet Ken and Felix, finally, 'cause they wanted to meet up with us! And then of course Bob, Mandy, Wade, Molly, and Jack will be there," I explained.

"I kind of forgot that I'd be meeting some more fellow Youtubers this weekend," she grinned.

"Yeah, and you'll be able to hang out with Molly during the panel and whatnot. And talk to your favorite Irishman," I joked.

"Yeah, I guess so," she answered, no longer as excited.

"What, you're not a Jacksepticeye fan anymore?" I teased her.

"No, I am. It's just awkward because I had a dream that he was flirting with me and stuff the other day. It was just weird, is all."

"I had a dream like that too. Weird."

"Oh, shut up! It's like you two ship yourselves with each other. You fuel the fire of all the Septiplier fans out there, ya know!"

"Yeah, I know. It's whatever, I'll just avoid that tag on Tumblr and I won't look up any fan fiction. Problem solved!"

"Alright, whatever you say!"

"So, is this dream why you've been acting all shy around him whenever we all Skype?" I inquired.

"Yeah, I guess. I know it was just a dream and it meant nothing, but it was still an awkward situation, ya know? I told him about it, though, because he thought I was mad at him for something," she said.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah, but he understood. I thought he'd be weirded out but everyone has crazy dreams that don't make sense, so we're good," she added. I didn't know her and Jack ever talked. Not that it mattered, but she just never mentioned it.

"That's good. You want to check this place out?" I noticed her taking a long look at some clothes in the window of a shop.

"Yeah, let's go in!"

We spent a couple more hours exploring before we headed back to the hotel to relax for a bit. At around 6 pm, we met up with everyone at a local steakhouse that had really good reviews. When we arrived I introduced Alyssa to Ken and Felix (even though she obviously knew who they were). She seemed happy to meet new people, and she made sure to tell Felix that him and Marzia were "super cute". Her and her shipping. But she really only shipped real life couples, so I guess I couldn't complain.
