Life at 51

Chapter 1

"Squad 3, truck 81, engine 51, ambulance 61, battalion 25 house fire 545 west boulevard" the dispatcher says. As you see all the people run to the sides of the trucks and get there gear on and zoom out with lights and sirens. Squad 3 is first on the scene followed by truck 81 and engine 51. lieutenant Casey orders Cruz and Otis to go to the back of the house with lieutenant Severide. lieutenant Severide orders his men to go to there places and he heads to the back of the house as he goes back Casey shouts vent the back. Mouch raises the areal so Casey and Darden can get to the top floor of the two story house. Darden goes up first followed by Casey and when Darden gets to the top he decides to brake the window. "Darden don't" Casey shouts as Darden swings his halligan. The window shatters and smoke rushes out the window. Darden climbs in the window. "Severide is there a vent in the back of the house?" "No Casey no vent doing a primary search." Casey shouts at Darden. "Darden back out!" But it is to late the door down stairs has closes and the fire is coming to a source of oxygen and Darden is right in the path. The fire comes up the stairs and Darden is in golfed in flames. Darden is dead. Casey ducks on the ladder and the fire busts out of the window. Casey gets off ladder and makes his way back to the truck with the saddest look on his face. Darden is dead and there is nothing anyone can do about it. 😭😔
