"would you have let me go if I didn't know you at all?"
Jungkook's grin widened, his eyes gleaming with cruel amusement
"Of course not"
His hand slid from her neck down to her shoulder, his touch sending an icy shiver down her spine
"You were mine...
The clock on the bedside table had been staring at Y/n for what felt like hours. It's almost five O'clock, the ball is supposed to begin at seven.
And somehow, she was still sitting in front of her vanity while five different people moved around her room as if they were preparing her for a royal coronation instead of a single evening.
A knock sounded against the door before it opened and Jule stepped inside first, followed by two other stylists carrying garment bags.
They had been getting her ready for so long that Y/n wondered if they planned on keeping her in this room for the rest of the night.
She blinked at them through the mirror.
"Are all of you necessary?"
Jule smiled.
"Unfortunately for you, yes."
Y/n sighed. That was how the two hours had gone.
Her hair was washed, dried, curled and pinned before being partially loosened again because apparently it wasn't supposed to look too perfect.
Makeup brushes moved across her face while someone else worked on her eyes. Another stylist carefully shaped her brows, another adjusted the lighting around the vanity, and Jule supervised everything with the terrifying focus of someone who would notice if a single strand of hair was out of place.
By the time they finally stepped away, Y/n barely recognized the girl staring back at her.
Her hair fell in soft waves around her shoulders, carefully styled but still looking effortless. Her makeup was elegant rather than heavy, emphasizing her eyes and the natural shape of her face.
A subtle glow rested against her skin, and the faintest shimmer caught the light whenever she moved.
Then came the dress. The moment Jule unzipped the garment bag, Y/n knew exactly why they had taken so long.
The champagne-colored fabric looked almost liquid beneath the room's warm lights, glowing with a soft golden sheen as it fell in a way that made the entire dress seem as though it had been made specifically for her.
It hugged her figure before flowing gracefully toward the floor, the neckline elegant without being excessive, while delicate details caught the light with every movement.

It took several minutes just to make sure everything sat perfectly.
By the time the last stylist stepped away, Y/n felt as though she had lived through an entire lifetime.
She looked at the clock, it was six now.
"Finally."
Jule laughed softly.
"You're welcome."
Y/n was about to answer when another knock sounded against the door. This time, before she could say anything, the door opened.
