~~~ASMAARA's POV~~~
Shehry: Morning Sunshine!
I read the text once I had washed my hands. A smile made its way to my lips as I typed a quick reply. He had sent this message at 5 in the morning so I could wake up to this. He is such a sweetheart.
Within a few seconds of sending a reply, my phone buzzed. But, This time it was a call.
"Hey," Shehry sighed from the other end and I smiled, hearing his voice. "Hey!"
"Nervous?" He asked. "Very," I grinned. I was happy and nervous at the same time.
"Why are you whispering?" I asked him.
"Oh yaar, my cousins came. Chup chup ke baat karni par rahi hai. Peeche hi par gaye hein saale," he groaned, sounding annoyed, and I laughed.
"Hans mat!" I could imagine him making a face.
I turned over and lied on my stomach, "main toh hansungi.. Woh bhi daant phad ke."
I heard him sigh which made me frown. "Aye, what happened?"
"It's just.... It's only 10am yaar. Why can't we just fast forward all these boring hours and meet again?" He complained. I missed him too.
"It's real life and not some movie jo fast forward ho jayegi," I giggled.
"Aah!" He sighed again, "Wait for a few days and you would want to live it in slow motion with me."
I smiled to myself and bit my lip. It only led the smile to grow wider.
"You there?" He asked.
"Hmm."
I heard him release a sigh and everything fell quiet. We enjoyed this silence, just listening to each others' breathing, until someone barged in my room. I quickly sat up but failed to hide my phone in time.
"Look at this girl!" Mama huffed, walking towards me, "everyone is waiting for you to come out and here you are, on your phone!"
"Oh ho Aunty! Dekhein zara, she was talking to someone on the phone," Rabia quipped and I gestured her to shut up. She smirked at me instead and pulled the phone out of my hand, "inke hone wale woh hein."
"Kabhi hum se bhi baat kar liya karein," she said, putting the phone on the speaker. "H-hey, Rabia ji," Shehry replied, putting more emphasis on 'ji.' I could sense the awkwardness in his voice.
