Chapter 4

I stepped out from the shower and picked my phone. I called Rachel asking where she was and she said she's on the way to New York. I can't wait to see her. I put on a sweater and a pair of jeans because i have to buy dinner. I didnt buy the groceries to cook so i have to go out. I planned to go to the lobby without making contact with Dane. But people plan and faith decides, faith hates me.

"Hey Megan" he said as i close my door. I ignored him and walk to the elevator. "Megan,wait.." He said as he pulled my arm towards him.

"How much was it" i asked

"How much what?"

"The money they gave you, for me"

"200 bucks"

"200 dollars?! You sold me for 200 dollars? Do you seriously think I'm that cheap? Oh my god" i yelled. I can't believe after all the trouble I've been through he sold me for 200 dollars.

"Look,Megan can you just forget about it. I said im sorry and I'm glad your safe..."

Before he could continued I immediately yelled at him "Forget? How can i forget about the person who I trusted with my life sold me out. You left me to die,Dane. That guy was about to rape and all you can say is "forget about it?" and mouthing "I'm sorry" means you apologized. At least sell me with a higher price."

Dane was speechless. "Nothing to say? Good because you're dead to me." With those words i left Dane alone in the hallway while I'm about to get dinner frustrated.

When i was about to enter my car, a high pitched voice called my name. It was Stella. She asked me why i hate her boyfriend so much and i told her it's a long story. She said to tell her when I'm ready and recommend a café not far from the apartment. I thanked her and got in my car. I drove to the café that was named "#chemistry". I ordered a medium sized coffee because I wasn't really hungry. When i got my coffee i went for a walk to observe the city.

The city is beautiful. The people in it are gorgeous and friendly. Well, not all of them obviously. I passed a park and there was a man proposing to a woman. A baby running to her mother. Friends congratulating a guy for asking a girl out. The little things that i noticed made me forget about Dane for a while and I'm grateful for that.

The walk was fine until the foster house number appeared on my screen. "Hello?" "Hi, Megan i have bad news. The bus that was taking your the kids to New York had an accident. Your sister is now on the way to NYC hospital" with that, i ran towards my car and drove to the hospital.

That was a short update, I'm sorry. Well, my friends asked me about the characters. I didn't think i have to describe them but just in case

Megan- whoever you want who is a brunette and has dark brown eyes
