Keira knew what the two men were as they descended the stairs. Werewolves. Powerful ones too. She had been trained to know how to tell a werewolf from a human. She's also been trained to kill them. Not that she would ever really kill one, only if they pose a threat to Sylvia. That is her duty as a guardian. To protect her no matter the consequence, even at the cost of her own life.
She knew that the two men would be furious when they found out what she was and so she inhaled deeply to gather courage to restrain herself from killing them. Abraham had walked over to her and introduced her.
"This is Keira," he paused, he placed a hand on her shoulder, "Sylvia's guardian."
She expected to be a full on blow of commotion but when she glanced over to the two men, they both were in complete shock. Then, the one Abraham had said was Ambrose began to laugh.
His cousin, Prince Alexander then bellowed, "Abraham you fool! What kind of a joke is that?! You looked so serious when you said that that I almost believed you!" He laughed along with his cousin.
Keira stood patiently as the two men chortled; Sylvia began to fume. "Why are you laughing at my sister?!" The two men instantly silenced and stared at Sylvia. "For your information, Keira IS my Guardian! If you have a problem with that then you can just get lost!"
Keira squeezed Sylvia's hand gently; making her calm down slightly. "Sylvia, it's not proper for you to yell."
"You must be joking!" Ambrose yelled furiously. "There is no way she is our Princess' guardian! She is a woman!"
Sylvia hollered back, "So what!? She's a greater guardian than any of you and your men put together! And if you want proof, I'll show it to you!"
"Sylvia," Keira said, calmly.
Flaming, Sylvia turned to her. "Sis! You can't just let them say that about you! You are my guardian and that's that!"
"I am indeed your guardian but you know well what others think of it. Let it go, it doesn't change the fact that I am."
Alexander, who has been quiet throughout this whole scene, stepped closer to them. "Where is this proof?"
With a sigh, Keira removed her jacket and pulled down her blouse a bit, exposing the searing tattoo that a guardian receives when marked as one. Luckily Keira thought of wearing a tank-top inside, so she didn't reveal any privacies.
Ambrose sucked a breath between his teeth. "This doesn't mean a thing! How do we know you are Sylvia's-"
He was cut off by his cousin. "The crest." He stared at Keira's arm and saw that intertwined with the winding swirls of the guardian mark was the royal family's crest symbol. Alexander looked into Keira's eyes, "You're my mate's guardian."
"Mate, what!?" Sylvia screeched.
Keira shook her head. 'Leave it to Sylvia to notice that one thing out of the whole commotion.'
"Sis! Please tell me I did not just hear that!"
"You did."
"Keira!"
"What?"
"Why'd you have to tell me that!? Couldn't you just go along with it!?"
"No. Then I'd be lying. And you know I would never lie to you, Sylvia."
Sylvia began to fume once more. "I don't want to be his mate! Wait, mate?" She looked over to Alexander and Ambrose. "Mate?" Her eyes went wide. "Oh no, you guys aren't- are you?- no, of course not-"
