"That's payback for the whole marriage thing. Sucker!" Sylvia laughed.
Keira rolled her eyes and faced a waiting crowd. She picked up the mic that Arnold held out for her. "Thank you," she told him. She skimmed the crowd and spotted Alexander and Ambrose. They were both sitting in the front row where Sylvia had instructed them to sit.
She cleared her throat, "Well first of all, I'd like to say that this is pretty jacked up." The students laughed. "I don't recall signing up for this," she muttered and sent a glare at Sylvia. "But seeing that I'm up here, I might as well do something." She breathed into the mic, "I don't even know what I'm going to sing."
Suddenly a beat to a song rung from the speakers. Keira rolled her eyes when she identified which song was playing. "Really, Sylvia, really?"
"What? I like the song. So hurry up and sing it!" Sylvia replayed the song and Keira readied herself.
The intro to Waka Waka by Shakira began to play once again.
"You're a good soldier,
Choosing your battles,
Pick yourself up and dust yourself,
Get back in the saddle."
Keira moved around the stage loosing herself in the song.
"You're on the frontline,
Everyone's watching,
You know it's serious,
We're getting closer,
This isn't over."
At this point, Keira was walking through the aisles of the seats dancing around; the whole school was dancing along with her. All of them whooping and singing along. Keira caught sight of Celine glaring at her, she smirked and winked at her.
"Listen to your god,
That is our motto,
Your time to shine, don't wait in line,
Y vamos por todo."
Keira pulled people up with her to dance on stage; all of them willing participants. She then pulled Ambrose up without thought and continued singing.
"Today's your day,
I feel it,
You paved the way,
Believe it!
If you get down, get up, oh, oh,
When you get down, get up, eh, eh,
Tsamina mina zangalewa,
This time for Africa!"

Ambrose was entranced from the moment she began to sing. Her voice was so captivating and he could truly see her soul when she let out all her emotions into the song. This was a whole different girl than he saw before. He watched as she pranced around the isles and found himself smiling.
He quickly composed his features to be neutral but couldn't pull his gaze from her. He was then surprised when she pulled him up on the stage and danced with everyone else.
As the song came to an end, she had bumped into him. She turned to face him and he half expected her to scowl.
"Sorry," she mouthed over the roar of the crowd and smiled at him. A genuine smile that nearly melted his heart. Nearly. He caught himself from his trail of thoughts. He nodded at her and she turned back to everyone.
