Sylvia distracted her thoughts by examining her sister's outfit. An elegant, midnight blue dress that was fitted at the bust and flowed down to her knees. She wore a pair of glass heels and her hair was beautifully wavy as always. She wondered why her sister was so dressed up but her mind quickly flitted to her earlier thoughts.
"I kissed Alexander!" Sylvia sputtered. She laid on the couch in Keira's den, staring at the ceiling.
Keira raised a questioning brow while typing on her computer. "Well, that was rather rash of you." A smirk played on her lips, "I thought you didn't like the boy."
"Shut it, Keira! It's not funny!"
"I never said it was."
"Keira!"
"Yes, Sylvia?"
Sylvia huffed and pulled a cushion over her face and screamed in frustration. "I don't know what to do!"
"How about you actually get together with the boy?" Keira suggested. "Honestly, you two are driving the rest of us insane."
"That's ridiculous," Sylvia cried. "That kiss was just a spur of the moment, there's no way I'm ending up with him."
"You're being a child," Keira replied nonchalantly. "Don't you think it's time you grow up a bit and realize that that boy out there truly loves you? Sylvia, it's time you stop with this foolish act and, as they say, 'Man up' to your predicament and be with the boy.
"The rest of us will be dining out, I expect the two of you to work things out by the time we get back." Keira stood from her desk, running a hand through her hair. "We'll be back around 10:30. Please have this matter settled before then." With that, Keira left.

"We're dining out," Keira said nonchalantly as she entered the parlor.
Ambrose raised a questioning brow but said nothing. He watched as she grabbed a leather jacket from the hallway closet. She looked at Celine and Conor who still sat motionless like him.
"Would you three hurry up? Our reservations are at 8:00 and I prefer not waiting for another table to be open if we're late." Keira took the car keys out of the key holder and leaned against the wall, waiting for the rest of them.
"Where are we going?" Celine sneered.
"My, you are hard of hearing, aren't you?" Keira murmured thoughtfully. "I believe I said quite clearly that we are dining out." She tsked before motioning towards the door. "Come on, I'd rather not spend my time waiting on you."

They were seated in a lovely booth with an adoring chandelier hanging above them. Keira silently skimmed over the menu, unaware of the appreciative looks she's been drawing.
The silence between the four was a bit tangy and Keira had no mind to break the ice. Celine, however, couldn't stand the hushed tones. She didn't dare talk to Keira so she faced Ambrose with a seductive stare. "Ambrose," she purred.
He politely shifted his gaze towards Celine. "Yes, princess?"
"We haven't seen much of each other in quite a while." She put great emphasis in the word much as she gave him a suggestive gaze. She bit her lower lip in a pout, "I've missed you."
A waiter came up to them with a smiling face, ready to take their orders. "Are you all ready to order?"
Celine glared at the young man. "Can't you see that we're having a conversation?"
The young man seemed at a loss and tripped over his words as he apologized.
Keira placed a hand over the waiter's. "Don't mind her, being an angry grump is her forte so it's best to just pretend that you're listening."
"How dare you!" Celine glared daggers at Keira.
Keira ignored her and told the waiter, "We're ready to order."
The young man smiled sheepishly at her and nodded his head as he took the orders. "I'll be back with your meals in a few minutes." He bowed his head before walking off into the kitchens.
"You better watch your tongue, peasant!" Celine spat.
Keira simply took a sip of her drink and placed it back on the table. "I've come to terms that the best way to learn about a person's behavior is taking them out to dinner."
Finally speaking, Conor asked, "How so?"
Keira looked at him with a small smile. "Every time you meet someone, they give off a certain persona, usually that they are a kind and heartwarming person. But take them to dinner and watch how they treat the waiter or waitress and that," Keira paused with a playful smile, "is how you figure out exactly what that person is like." She flitted her gaze towards Celine for a mere second before taking another sip of her drink.
Conor cocked his head to the side and had a small smirk on his lips. "I see. So what exactly would you say about me?"
"Do you really want to know?" Keira smiled to an old couple that strolled by and averted her attention back to Conor.
"Absolutely."
Keira shrugged before saying, "You didn't even give the waiter a second glance. You merely ignored him when you were done stating your order. You showed no sign of kindness, in fact, you were rather posh the entire time he was here. You were polite, yes, but there was nothing that showed that you had any thought of the boy but that he was your inferior.
You think that those of lesser class is of no use but to abide by your every consent. You find it outrageous when a person of their rank steps out of line and you think that the only way to keep them in check is through punishment." Keira left her speech at that and went back to her silent persona.
Conor's smirk broke out into a huge grin. "All that from watching the treatment of a waiter?"
"No, the last bit was from examining the first time we met."
"Your orders," the young waiter spoke as he set each dish onto the white clothed table.

A knock sounded on Alexander's door. He instantly opened it, revealing a flushed looking Sylvia. His gaze softened as she shuffled awkwardly.
"Hi," she spoke softly and stared at the floor.
He returned the greeting and both lapsed into an awkward silence. Alexander cleared his throat and was about to speak when Sylvia interrupted him.
"I'm sorry."
Puzzled he let go of his door and lifted her face up to his. "There is nothing to be sorry for, Love."
Sylvia shook her head. "Of course there is. I'm sorry for being a pain and for being difficult. I'm sorry for being so mean and rude and for not giving you a chance. I'm sorry that I can't trust you, even though I want to. I'm sorry for persisting the fact that you used to hate my sister but she's the only one I ever had and I don't want to lose her. I'm sorry that I'm being selfish and hurting you and being a horrible mate-"
Her words were cut short as Alexander's lips met hers. He pulled back and whispered in a hoarse tone, "You're the most loving person I know and I'm glad your sister has watched over you. I'm grateful for that." He kissed her once more before continuing, "I don't ever want to hear you say you're a horrible mate, understand?"
Sylvia nodded frantically before pulling his lips back to hers.

Keira entered the house and noticed all the lights were off. She raised a brow before walking up the staircase and down the hall to her room. She paused as she past Alexander's door which was wide open. She saw a happy looking Sylvia sleeping in the arms of her mate's, who also seemed to be asleep.
Keira smiled a small smile before reaching for the door to close. A hand appeared in her way and grabbed hold of the doorknob before silently closing it. She turned to find Ambrose standing near her.
"Finally," he grunted before looking down at her.
Keira's smile remained as she nodded her head towards him and walked off to her room. Ambrose stared after her, not saying a word. He was captivated by the smile he saw on her face. He almost followed after her but remained where he was. He despised her after all, or so he told himself anyway.
