MICHAEL
*four days later*
I stood on Della's balcony and knocked on the glass door.
Yes, I was making it up to her at three in the morning. I knocked again and shoved my hands into my sweater pockets, shivering.
I heard shuffling and Della's face appeared on the other side of the glass. She looked surprised as expected and she glared at me unlocking the door and walking away. I opened the door and stepped in, shutting it quietly.
I took a moment to look around the dark room. Della sat on her bed and looked down at her lap. She looked beautiful as the moonlight hit her face. But I also noticed how sick she looked.
Her usually tan skin looked faded and pale. There were dark bags under her red rimmed eyes and she looked like she hadn't slept since the day after Halloween.
And although it had only been four days, I could tell she had lost weight from the collarbone sticking out at the top of her sweater. I knelt down in front of her on the floor.
"Angel." I said breathlessly. Della's head shot up and she looked at me with glossy eyes. I placed my hands on her thighs.
"Baby I'm so sorry. That kiss did mean something to me. I was just scared to admit I liked you so I lied and I'm an asshole for doing that to you. I know I don't deserve it but can you forgive me?" I apologized and set my head in her lap, my thumb caressing her clothed thigh.
It was a few minutes that we stayed like that and I waited for her to say something, anything.
But she didn't have to cause I suddenly felt her dainty hands on my head and she ran her fingers through my red locks. I sighed in content before I looked up at her.
She still looked defeated and tired but I could see it in her eyes that she forgave me. So I lifted myself up so I was standing in front of her. I bent down and hovered over her. Then I placed a sweet kiss on her lips.
She kissed back and before I knew it, I felt my cheek become wet. I pulled back to see tears running down her cheeks.
"Why are you crying angel?" I asked softly as I wiped her cheeks and sat down beside her.
"I..I just missed you. I thought you didn't like me but now you're here in my room in the middle of the night and you're kissing me and I guess I'm just emotional from lack of sleep." She chuckled but it sounded forced.
"Come on angel, let's get you tucked in." I said and gently pushed her body down on the mattress and pulling the covers over her. I kissed her lips and nuzzled our noses before turning to leave.
Della grabbed my hand, stopping me.
"Please stay." She said pleading with her big brown doe eyes. I couldn't protest. I kicked off my shoes and slipped under the covers beside her.
"Goodnight Mikey." She whispered as she laid on her stomach facing me.
We didn't cuddle but I held her tiny hand, caressing it and kissing her forehead.
"Goodnight angel."

DELLA
"Ow what the fuck Cal!"
I woke to a grinning Calum and a red haired boy on my bedroom floor.
"That's for being a fuckface." Calum said and then giggled before leaving my room.
"That's fair." I said sitting up in bed and leaning against the headboard. Michael rubbed his head and gave me a sheepish look. "Yeah I guess I deserve it." Then he crawled on the my bed and gave me a peck on the lips.
"I'm hungry." He said as he pulled away. I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Good morning to you too."
"Hey, don't roll your eyes." Michael said and I held in a giggle. I bit my lip and mumbled a sorry. He smiled and held out a hand. I took it and we went downstairs where Mali and Calum were situated at the island.
"Just grab a banana or something, we have school in fifteen minutes." Calum said and I groaned, retreating back up the stairs.
I decided to skip breakfast and brushed my teeth instead. I threw on a pair of black leggings and Calum's Santa Cruz shirt before stuffing my feet into my all white Converse.
I grabbed a hoodie and my backpack before trudging down the stairs again.
A few minutes later, Calum and Michael came down the stairs. Michael borrowed Calum's clothes, a black sweater and skinny jeans.
"Hey cutie." Michael said and kissed my cheek. I blushed.
"NO PDA!" Mali screamed from the kitchen and I rolled my eyes. Luckily, Michael didn't see so I was safe from his teeth.
"So that's where my Santa Cruz shirt went. I wanted to wear it today." Calum said grabbing his car keys. He had on a Nasa shirt.
I just smiled and got in the car.
After a few painful minutes of Michael whining, we went to the Starbucks drive thru and got coffee and Michael got his chocolate muffin.
He offered me some but I declined. I wasn't a big fan of chocolate. He gave me a weird look before shrugging it off.
We arrived at school with just enough time to hit our lockers before class started.
I sat beside Ashton in Maths while Calum sat behind me and poked me with a pencil and tugged on my hair. I groaned quietly as the teacher droned on about triangles or something.
Michael's hand found my thigh in Chemistry. I didn't want to mess up our experiment because I couldn't concentrate so I smacked his hand away. I nearly spilled the sodium chloride when I felt his cold fingers slip underneath my shirt, and lightly rub the skin of my hip.
"Michael." I growled lowly.
He just sat there smirking.
