DELLA

"Welcome home Della."

Joy-sweet as sugar that woman-said as the family's black SUV pulled into a large driveway with three other cars.

My eyes widened as I looked at the house from my seat beside Calum. In front of me was a beautiful cream coloured two story house.

"Wow. You live here?" I asked quietly, admiring the mansion like structure. Joy chuckled. "Yes and now you live here too." She said smiling and getting out of the car.

The front door, painted a bright cherry red opened and Mali-Koa stepped outside holding a ball of grey fluff. She waved and smiled at me as I got out of the car, Calum getting out behind me.

"Hey Della, welcome home." Mali said and handed me the puppy she was holding. "He's so cute. What's his name?" I asked cuddling the little husky. Mali chuckled. "I don't know. He's yours so you get to name him."

"What?" I asked looking at my new sister. She nodded encouragingly. "Go ahead." I grinned at her and looked down into the brightest blue eyes I'd ever seen. "Skander."

My two siblings grinned at each other and gave Skander a pet. "Why don't I show you your room now huh?" Calum suggested. I nodded and we made our way into the house. The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. Dark hardwood floors and pastel coloured walls contrasted nicely against modern furniture and decor.

As I climbed the stairs behind Calum, I saw an empty photo frame. Calum must've noticed me looking, cause he answered. "That's for your school photo." He explained and I understood as Mali's graduation and Calum's school photo were already placed on the wall.

We continued up the stairs, and Calum pointed at each door on the second floor saying whose was whose.

"And this is your room." Calum said opening a white door with a wooden A decal on it. I gasped as I entered the room. The walls were painted a deep blue and had fairy lights draped all over. A bed, desk and dresser were placed on either side of the room. There was even a little area for Skander including a bed and food bowls. But what got me was the set of french doors leading to the balcony I saw when we pulled in the driveway.

"Like it?" Calum asked and gently grabbed my hand. I turned towards him and wrap my arms around his waist, his height making me stuff my face in his chest. I nodded frantically.

His chest vibrated as he chuckled and hugged me back. "Good."

"Kids, dinner!"
