"Attention Students, I've got an important announcement! Please settle down!" our student representative Olive chirped.

We took our seats and patiently waited for Olive to give to give us this big announcement.

Olive: "Today's chemistry practicals have been moved from noon to late afternoon. These changes are due to an urgent staff meeting which is scheduled now. So everyone is expected to attend the practicals according to the new specified timings. Thank you!"

Everyone in the class was upset due to the change in timings. The displeasure was seen on everyone's face, but we couldn't help it, the practicals were compulsory.

Julia: "So what to do? We have almost a free time of 2 hours!" She with a big smile which shone on her face

Rose: "Oh yes! We will have lunch and then we will proceed with our submissions"

"Agreed" everyone said in unison

We filled our stomachs with food and proceeded towards the library for issuing books for our project submissions.

The library was a massive building, the architecture resembling the medieval era. It was a two storey building. The first level mainly consisted of wooden bookshelves, with a few scattered benches securely bolted to the walls. The top floor was used as the study area, tables had been neatly arranged in the middle, along with worn out wooden chairs, that looked as comfortable as sitting on a cactus! Along the far left side of the building, rows of cubicles had been erected, on top white computers sat, blinking in their readiness to work. It was nice to see that this library had, like so many others, embraced the digital world.

As we entered the library, the smell of books filled the air. This scent was special to any library, like the smell of coffee in Starbucks. For me, being in a library, was like coming home. It was quite and peaceful, where you were left to wander the forbidden worlds. Everyone were occupied with their respective assignments. The rest of the students were so engrossed in their work, t a whiff of the books filled the air. This scent of the books has a special place in every library. It was quiet peaceful here. Everyone seemed to be occupied with their respective work.

Our librarian helped us to find a few books and we sat near the table facing the window on the upper floor. We began searching for the information for our project submissions. I started making notes in my notebook. We four that is Lily,Julia,Rose and me were working on different sub topics of our project and we had decided to finish it today itself. We sat for a stretch of 1 hour brainstorming our minds on this.

I felt the urge to have a sip of hot coffee before going to the practicals. So I went to the library's tiny private cafeteria. I ordered for a steaming hot cup of coffee. As I was waiting for my order someone tapped my shoulder from the back. I just turned back to see who it was. And oh no!!!

*Damn damn...triple damn!*

Trouble with a capital 'T', was standing there with a huge grin plastered over his face.

*Why oh why, did I always attract the weirdos!?*

*Oh dear lord!! Why why! *

"Hi, new girl! Let me buy that coffee for you." he said with a twinkle in his eyes.

Remembering Lily's words to just avoid and not talk to him, I turn on my heel and walk past him. I was almost out the door, when warm fingers wrapped them around my writs, effectively shackling me to the spot. I pull my arm and feel his fingers tighten around my wrist.

Me: "If you don't let go, I'm going to scream!"

My heart was hammering inside my chest, while I waited for him to release me. The only response I got was a raised eyebrow, that silently dared me to do it. I lift my brow in response and open my mouth.

I start screaming at the top of my lungs!

"GUYS PLEASE HELP!"

My friends hearing the commotion, thunder their way over to me. This didn't surprise me, what did surprise me was the accompanying students that came bounding after my friends.

"Hey you jerk! Leave her alone!" Julia shouted.

"Let me go you weirdo!" I scream at the top of my lungs he only applies more pressure on my wrist, causing me to whimper in pain.

I turn pleading eyes to my friends, desperate for them to help me, when I was jerked from creepy's grasp. I spin in a circle, trying to regain my balance and tank my hero, when i smelled something familiar.

I look up and see Ryan standing in front of me, his fists tightly clenched at his sides, Mike's angry face behind him.

"What the hell Jake?! You remember what this situation leads to?" Ryan asked.

I've never seen Ryan this angry before!

"I don't fear anyone Ryan!" Jake replied, his voice filled with anger. His smirk was still very much present, like this was all just some big game.

I walk up to Ryan, reaching up to tell him I was okay. I make it halfway when he basically jumps forward and punches Jake in the face. My jaw drops at Ryan's sudden violence, his face furious.

*What.The.Hell!*

Jake stares at Ryan in shock, the silence in the room deafening. My mind was spinning, trying to piece together what just happened, while trying to calm my racing heart!

"I am warning you Jake, if you come near her or cause trouble with any other girl, I'll make sure you suffer the consequences! I'll make sure their severe!" Ryan shouts on his face.

Ryan spins around and walks up to me, grabs my hand and pulls me after him. Mike and Ryan both say, that it would be better if we just leave. Neither waiting for an answer, starts marching to the doors, my hand still firmly in his!
