A leap of faith

Chapter 6- Who is he?

"Yes mom, I'll see you later!. I'll get the groceries! I love you, but I have to go or I'm going to be late!" I fly out the door, running all the way to the bus stop.

*Common common! I don't wanna miss my class.Please god! I have to reach on time!*

I finally see the college and heave a sigh of relief, I had to jog all the way to the Life Sciences building just to be on time. I reach for the door, when someone spoke behind me.

Stranger: "Well well, if it isn't the new girl!"

For some reason, I feel my senses go on high alert.

Me: "Excuse me, do I know you?"

Stranger: "That's only a minor problem easily fixed and if you allow it, we can meet everyday from now on. What do you think about that, new girl?"

I could feel the hair on the back of my neck stand at attention, I didn't even know his name and I already disliked him! I turn back, opening the door without answering him. Well that was super weird and creepy!

Me: "Lame creatures in our college!"

Lily: "Who's lame?"

Me:"Thank goodness you're here! I just met a weird guy, that gave me the creeps! Didn't like the way he spoke to me!" I wrinkle my nose in disgust.

Lily: "Who was it?" She looks at me, her eyes filled with worry.

"Okay class, please take your seats!" Mrs.Brown bellowed.

That marked the end to our conversation...for now!

After a few hours of classes we pack up for the day. Lily and I walk through the campus, when I saw someone waving at me. Realization struck quick, it was creepy-mac-creeper-sin!

Me: "Oh no!"

Lily looks at me, her brow furrowed in confusion.

Lily: "What's wrong?"

I point frantically to the boy.

Me: "That's the guy I was telling you about! Can we just get out of here?!"

Lily looks to where I was pointing, her eyes widening in shock quickly followed by a firm nod. We make a beeline for the closest door, only to be stopped short by said guy.

Stranger : "Hey new girl! If I didn't know better, I would have thought you were avoiding me. Don't you remember our little conversation? We'll be meeting everyday from now on!" His lips spread into a wide grin.

My heart was thumping like a four year old on a sugar high! What was his deal?

Me: "Not interested!"

I snap, grabbing Lily's hand. I drag her after me, hoping that he wouldn't follow us.On impulse I walk towards the basketball court, choosing a spot that he wouldn't be able to sit near us.

Me: "Lily, you now that weirdo?"

She nods her head up and down, the motion reminding me of one of those bobbing dog figures in a car, while she answered.

Lily:"Yes. His the brat of this college! Super rich,arrogant as they come! College playboy and all around a-hole! It's amazing, even though most of the girls know what he does, they still flock around him! You know what I mean Myra? Try and stay away from him, don't get into any verbal fights with him! He has a tendency to draw a lot of attention to himself, usually ending in a huge mess! I think it would be better to just avoid him all together."

Me:"Okay! You think he'll make any problems for me? Not gonna lie, I'm a little freaked Lily!"

Lily:"Myra darling! I am here for you, just scream really loud and I'll come running!"

She smiles and winks, helping to calm my raging nerves.

Me: "Aww, thanks girl!" I move and give her a teddy bear hug.

Me: "Let's go. I've got to get the groceries, so I'll see you later. Thanks again Lily!"

I walk to the bus stop just making it in time.This incident with stupid had really disturbed me! I just hoped that he was going to leave me alone and not make any problems for me! I so going to stay away from him!
