A leap of faith

Chapter 33: I'll be there for you

Ryan: "Its too much for me to take in. I mean it is till hard to digest the fact that we are together"

Me: "I can understand."

*I just can't believe that the always-happy-go-lucky-Ryan is lost! Can't see you like this! Take your time to come out of this. I'll be with you through this! I will. I promise!*

Saying this I just made a small promise to myself that I'll be forever there by his side no matter what! I could do anything that made him happy. Sometimes it is quite satisfying to see the person you love smiling. 

Ryan: "---- you know"

I was still staring at him, that I didn't even realize that he was talking about something.

Ryan: "Do you realize that  you are more  spaced out than me now?!"

*Busted! Take a control over yourself silly!*

All I could do is giggle at that moment!

*Did I just do that?! Common I can do better!*

He was still looking at me and was expecting for an answer. And was just looking at those mesmerizing eyes. I was getting drawn more and more into them. Just at that moment it dawned on me and I quickly straightened myself.

*You are upto no good!*

Me: "Well where were we?!" I just lift my eyebrow and manage to pull up an innocent face

He just gave his usual smirk and looked at me.

Ryan: "So now listen.."

*Thank god! I'm so going to be attentive this time!*

Ryan: "Rate me out of 10 Myra. Am I so worthless that people can forget me so easily and give up on me?" He was clearly hurt. More than his voice, his eyes said it all. 

*I'll never  give up on you!*

Me: "Ryan, sometimes you have to take a look at the bigger picture. You tried the best to work it out. Don't blame yourself over this. Things don't work as per wish Ryan. I know its  difficult phase for you but blaming yourself won't make things better for sure!"

He just kept on listening never leaving the eye contact. Those brown eyes had an usual charm that you could just surrender yourself in the world of tranquility! It was a feeling of calmness and it felt that I could hear my heartbeats out loud!

I even forgot what was I speaking. I just kept on looking and so did he. A moment later I realized and composed myself a bit.

*Why does he affect me so much!*

That moment was a bit awkward. Still he gave a comforting smile which helped me to loosen up a bit. We spent some more together,just laughing on some random jokes and reminiscing a few college moments.

The next day I was strolling through the college corridors and a very familiar voice interrupted me.

"Hi"

Me: "Hey Mike!"

Mike: "Good to see you."

Me: "Same here"

Mike: "So where are you heading?"

Me: "Well there is no such fixed destination."
