The fight

"Hey Minho?" I asked.

"Huh?... Oh hey (y/n) what's up?" The said boy asked turning towards me.

"I was just wondering, what is it like being a runner? And what does the maze look like on the inside?" I asked.

"Well being a runner gives life a bit of a thrill but, it's a dangerous job. As for your other question, the maze is pretty big and covered in ivy as you can see." Minho explained to me.

"Wow now I'm even more curious!" I exclaimed.

"Hey now, you know what they say curiosity killed the cat. Just be careful, and don't ever go into that maze!" Minho warned looking me right in the eye.

"Fine, I'll see ya later Minho." I said as I walked away over to the garden where Newt was at.

"Hey (y/n) what were you talking to Minho about?" Newt asked me.

"Huh? Oh... Um... We were... Ah... Talking about tjzwqkd..." I said mumbling the last bit out so he wouldn't hear.

"Huh? Can you say that again?" He asked confused.

"I said we were talking about the wqkd..." I mumbled again.

"(Y/n) speak up I can't hear you when you mumble!" Newt stated frustrated.

"The maze! We were talking about the maze!" I shouted.

"What about the maze?" Newt asked glaring at me.

"I want to go in it. I want to help us all get out of here." I explained.

"NO! I WONT LET YOU!!" Newt yelled at me.

"WHY NOT YOUR NOT MY FATHER, SO YOU CANT TELL WHAT I CAN AND CANT DO!" I yelled back.

"I WOULDNT DREAM OF BEING YOUR FATHER BECAUSE IF I WAS YOU WOULDNT BE SUCH A HORRIBLE CHILD AND OBEY ORDERS!" Newt yelled.

Tears came to my eyes when he said that.

"Well if that's how you really feel then I'll leave you alone." I said with a glare, the tears now streaming down my face.

"...(y/n) wait I..." I didn't give him time to finish and I ran off.

"... Didn't mean it..." I heard Newt say but, I didn't turn back I kept running till I got to my hut.

"I don't care what anyone says I'm gonna find a way out of here. I'll sneak in after Minho and Ben when no one is looking." I told myself as I got ready for tomorrow.

I took off my beanie, sweater, and shoes then laid down in bed eventually falling asleep.

~time skip~

I woke up extra early. I braided my (h/c) hair and put my clothes on. I carefully opened the door so it wouldn't squeak so loud. I closed the door then snuck off after Minho and Ben.

I watched as the two split up, I carefully followed Ben until I lost him.

"Aw shuck, lost him," I muttered, "well I guess I'll keep walking till I find something."

I continued to walk looking at all of my surroundings so I will be able to find my way back once I'm done.

~another time skip~

It was getting late and I was trying to find my way back out when I heard clicking metal. I slowly turn around and come face to face with a Griever. I tried to run but my legs wouldn't move, I was frozen in fear at the hideous creature in front of me.

"AHHHHH!" I let out an ear peircing scream as the thing raised its stinger. My legs finally started working again as I ran through the maze and nearly bumped into another one.

"Oh great, now there's two ShuckingGrievers chasing me!" I said still running until I tripped over my own feet and fell to the ground.

"Damn it I think I twisted my ankle! And now I'm gonna die!" I said fear in my eyes as the two Grievers crawled right up to me and lifted their stingers up ready to strike me.

'I'm sorry Newt I should have listened to you, I guess curiosity really does kill.' I thought as the Grievers brought down their stingers.
