Chapter 11- It’s ginger!
*Glen’s POV*
I can feel something wet on my face and heavy breathing. Slowly I open my eyes and as I do I see some sort of huge beast inches from my face. I cry out and shoot upright before realising what it is. Cassidy sits back and gives me a confused look, cocking her head sideways and lifting her ears slightly. I screw my face up in disgust as I wipe my face on my sleeve and give Cassidy a disapproving look, which she replies to with an unbelievably cute look and I can’t help but cuddle her. It’s that irresistible cute look girls do when they want something that you just can’t say no to…only on a dog. Cassidy climbs onto my knee and puts her front paw on my chest and looks into my eyes before flopping down on me, trapping me on the sofa. I laugh and stroke her gently, she is a beautiful dog and ever so friendly, how did a dog like her end up on the streets? Because of the missing leg? Or was that after? I don’t know, all I know is you would have to be a pretty heartless bastard to leave a gorgeous thing like this out on the streets.
“What happened to you hey? You and Autumn?” I ask her in the cute, slightly patronizing voice you use to talk to babies or pets. Of course she doesn’t reply, she just stares at me with heart melting, chocolate puppy dog eyes and I tickle her under the chin, I can honestly say she is the nicest dog I have ever met.
*Mark’s POV*
I wake on the sofa with a figure stood over me. I gaze up at the silhouette above me and groan as the curtains are pulled and light streams in. “Good morning.” Rina says an irritated tone to her voice.
“Morning love.” I say hoping she won’t kill me too much. For a moment she looks like she will yell at me and I prepare myself for the worst but it doesn’t come, she just sighs and kisses me on the head.
“Come on, I thought you had to go to the studio today.” She says with a smile as she bends down to pick up some toys from the sofa. I catch her hand and bring it to my lips.
“I love you.” I say.
“Stop it.” She smiles.
“Make me.” I grin and she bends down next to me, her lips just centimetres from mine. She looks at them and smiles,
“If you think I am kissing you your mistaken; that beard almost took my face off last time.” She says before kissing me lightly on the nose. I smile and rub my beard.
“Oh come on, it’s not that bad! I mean look at it, its ginger!” I say making her laugh.
“Come on then ginger beard, get up.” She says pulling me off the sofa. “You’re making breakfast.” She says and I sigh before wondering into the kitchen.
