So I'm not sure whether to carry on this fanfic or not, and I'm running out of ideas. Please comment what you think, it would really help. This chapter is a bit of fluff, but I will make it long.
It had been a few days since their relationship had become public, and today was the day Connie and Jacob went back to work. Jacob's arm was fully healed, only a few stitches visible now. Connie was itching to get back to work, she hadn't been off work for this long in years! As the couple got ready for work, Jacob had an idea.
"Con, I have a challenge for you." Jacob said with a smirk.
"What is it now?" Connie replied, standing in a pile of roughly 30 pairs of Laboutins, that obviously hadn't made their way to a shelf in her new walk-in wardrobe.
"I dare you to spend a whole day with me." Jacob revealed his challenge, looking very proud of himself.
"If this is what Zoe and Max did, I'm out! I'm not becoming a nurse for the day!" Connie joked.
"No of course not, I couldn't stand to be with you for that long!" Jacob laughed. Connie threw a shoe at him jokily.
"Chill Boss! I meant you can't stay in your office all day, you have to stay in the staffroom with me and the lads!"
Connie sent him a death glare, she couldn't spend a day with Cal and Lofty! But after Jacob's puppy dog eyes, she agreed.
"You will regret it!" Connie warned him.
They arrived at the hospital, hand in hand. The staff were still shocked at the news of their relationship, but they were very happy for them. As they walked past Cal, Jacob looked very smug;
"Too late man, you just don't have my charming skills!" Jacob was proud of his girlfriend, however Cal looked very jealous!
As Connie went towards her office, Jacob pulled her the other way.
"What happened to not in your office?"
Connie sighed and entered the staff room.
"Morning Jacob" Rita said, then clocked Connie and looked very scared.
"Morning Staff nurse Freeman, nice to see you." Connie was trying to be nice, but it just made Rita even more concerned.
"Lets go Boss!" Jacob said cheekily, as he heard the hospital doors open.
"Be quiet you!" Connie replied with a grin on her face, Rita was left baffled.
It was lunchtime, and Connie and Jacob had an easy day so far, no deaths, and they had great fun treating patients together. Connie had tried to enter her office again, and to her surprise, Jacob lifted her up and carried her into the staffroom. They were both in fits of laughter, however all the staff were open mouthed, they couldn't believe that this was the ice queen Connie, laughing and having fun, and more to the point, hadn't beaten Jacob up for touching her, let alone carrying her!
Connie sat awkwardly, coffee in one hand and Jacob's in the other. The whole hospital staring. However Jacob was chatting away to Cal, kissing Connie on the cheek occasionally to rub it in Cal's face.
"Right babe, I challenge you to an arm wrestle!" Jacob broke the ice, he could see how uncomfortable Connie was.
Connie picked up the nearest magazine and wacked Jacob with it playfully.
"Mrs Beauchamp while were in work you idiot!" Connie teased, Jacob had a way of making her more relaxed, like it was just them two in the room.
"Challenge accepted" Connie said with a grin on her face, this would be great fun.
They got ready, both in a competitive mood.
"On my count, 3, 2, 1, go!" Mac judged.
To everyone's surprise, Connie was really strong, both struggling, their arms shaking, Jacob getting closer and closer to defeat, and after a good few minutes of battling, Connie won.
"Yes!! I won, looser!" Connie was proud of herself, Jacob took some beating!
"No you didn't, I let you win!" Jacob couldn't believe he lost to Connie!
After some arguing, Jacob let Connie boast about her win.
The department had never been so happy, no arguments, everyone was getting on, and most importantly, Connie had never been so happy.
I've ended this chapter so I could write a new one but if I don't it's a good place to leave it. Please comment whether I should carry on, I would be really grateful xx
