Loss

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had dance and then a tonne of homework to do! I'm really loving this storyline, I will try and keep it going and I will try to post as regularly as possible.

"Get out." Connie snapped. She needed time to think what she was going to say to him.

Jacob sat in the chair opposite her and grabbed her hand, Connie hesitated. His hands were so warm and loving, she couldn't accept the fact he was a liar. He was the last person she'd expect to do this. After a few seconds, Connie pulled away.

"Babe what's wrong, was there a death or something?" Jacob was confused at why Connie was acting like this.

"I can't talk to you, get out!" Connie was practically shouting.

"No. Tell me what's wrong" Jacob protested.

Connie had enough. She turned her computer screen round to reveal Jacob's medical page. She was welling up now.

"Babe, let me explain..." Jacob was cut off.

"Don't babe me, and what is there to explain? I thought I could trust you, obviously I can't. GET OUT!" Connie was now shouting, in a state, she hated being so horrible to Jacob.

Before Jacob had a chance to say anymore, Connie had pushed him out and slammed the door in his face. She slumped down in her chair, sobbing.

Meanwhile Jacob entered the empty staffroom, in tears himself. Jacob had never cried like this before, he thought he was strong, but he loved Connie so much he couldn't bare to loose her.

As a thought entered his mind, he stormed out of the staffroom, towards the exit of the hospital. He caught sight of Cal outside, and pretty much ran up to him and threw a massive punch at his face. His best friend, ruined the best thing that had ever happened to him, out of pure jealousy, and he might never be able to get that back.

Cal had passed out in a heap on the floor, his nose bleeding enormously. Jacob just walked away. He had to find Connie to explain, but as he turned away, he saw Connie rushing towards him, his hopes had now reached the sky. This was his time to explain, he just hoped she understood.

"Connie listen.." But as he started to speak, Connie ran straight past him.

She rushed towards Cal, she still couldn't stand the man, but she had to treat him. As she turned around, she saw Jacob frozen, looking like he had just been destroyed inside. She still loved Jacob more than anything, but she was determined not to give in, after all he has got a wife.

Connie knelt beside Cal, who was starting to regain consciousness, and in a desperate plead to make Jacob jealous, she kissed Cal. 

Jacob just stood there, he couldn't believe his eyes. This was all Cal's fault, he told Connie about her, but it was clear that Cal didn't tell her that they were just finishing going through a divorce, and Jacob was planning to tell Connie about it that same day. He loved Connie more than words could describe, and he couldn't stand seeing her everyday knowing that she wasn't his. 

He walked away from the ED, in a state.  As Connie saw this, she started crying. She had pushed him away. She shouldn't have done that, If she hadn't kissed Cal, Jacob would still be here, and they  could have worked it out. She didn't even listen to what he had to say. Why was she so stupid?
