First Day Back

Sorry I didn't update yesterday - I went to my older cousins for pizza and didn't get back till late. I was going to write some fluff, but I have a massive idea and I couldn't wait to write it, so I will skip the fluff and write it today!

Grace had now been home for a few days, and everyone was so happy, they were finally a family.

Jacob woke first, dreading his first day back at work for about a week. He prodded Connie until she woke.

"What you do that for?" Connie groaned.

"Because your going to be late otherwise, you've got work! How are you feeling?" Jacob asked, rubbing her back. Connie's morning sickness had been getting worse.

To Jacob's surprise, Connie sprung out of bed. She couldn't wait to get back to work, she had surprisingly missed it! Connie looked down, and froze.

"We can't keep this a secret for much longer!" Connie pointed at her growing stomach.

"I think we should tell everyone, today." Jacob said, he couldn't wait to tell everyone, especially Cal, who was his latest enemy.

"First thing though, I don't want people thinking I'm fat!" Connie laughed, rubbing her stomach.

The pair agreed to tell everyone once Connie arrived, as she was due at work an hour after Jacob was.

Connie wore a loose fitting top and smart trousers. This way you could still see her bump, without it being obvious.

Jacob gave Connie a hug, holding her stomach and a quick kiss before he left.

"I love you, and him." He said meaningfully.

"I love you too babe, see you at work.

"Gracie? Are you going to say goodbye to me?" Jacob shouted up the stairs.

Grace came running down the spiral stairs, and threw herself on Jacob.

"Bye dad, have a good day!" Grace gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, Jacob was still touched when Grace called him Dad.

After Jacob left, Connie took Grace to school. She had re-admitted to her old school, as all her old friends were there.

"Bye Gracie, I love you, have fun!" Connie said.

"Mum, seriously? School isn't fun! But I love you too, have a good day at work!" Grace joked.

She gave her mum a kiss and left the car.

Connie put on her music and drove to the hospital.

For some reason, all the idiots were on the road. She was only 2 minutes down the road and she had already swerved past 3 cars that had nearly driven into her.

Just as the traffic seemed to get better, a 4x4 drove at an insanely high speed into the side of Connie's car. It all happened so quickly, at one point she was driving, the next she was lying unconscious, her arm impaled in her mangled car, all she could think of was her un-born baby... 

To make up for not posting 2 days in a row, I will be posting tonight as well, so you won't have to wait on this cliff-hanger for long! I really hope you guys enjoy this, I took the storyline starter from Jeff's last episode (Born Lucky) Don't worry though, it won't end up like that!
