Chapter 35: The Final Day

Dil's P.O.V:

I woke up and went to the camp's public shower as today is our last day of camp. We're finally going home! I went out and Tabitha became startled as I went out in the same panda suit from last night. It turns out Tabitha heard me sing in the shower that she wanted me to sing for her as she loved my voice.

Basically, the whole entire time was unpacking as we wait for my parents to pick us all up to go home as a few weeks from now, it's the final exams and soon, my final mission.

September 24 2036

Today is the day... the day I become an adult and finish what needs to be finished. I got my final results few weeks ago and I passed and I'm now deciding which university to go to. Dan and Phil cried as they know I did well as their child... especially Dan since he's the one who's been lecturing a month before the actual exams. That will be expected since Dan is a lawyer and Phil has a master's degree. I may be adopted but I do have my parent's potential. My friends also got their marks back and Eliza plans to go to University of London while Summer wants to just do community college in Willow Creek. Tabitha plans to go to any university that may accept her since she did average.

But all of that... unfortunately, I can't focus on that since I have a town to save.

Ever since the exams started, Summer has been training me since there will be a chance that I might have to fight Preston as he will force me to stay. Its a full on 'Harry Potter' fest going on. Tabitha came along in the training since she's still confused what's going on (and it's the only way to keep her safe).

Today is my last day of training and it's to be able to create a powerful fire to fix the town. We've been doing practice fires and so far, they're great. Now, I need to create one last fire to see if I can make it stable. That happened and it created a small sonic wave that almost destroyed her room.

"Tabitha, are you ok?" I asked as I tackled her down to keep her safe.

"Yeah... that was really powerful" Tabitha said as I picked her up.

Summer just shielded herself with her spellbook and she smiled at me.

"You are ready" she said.

Howlter Residence - 2pm

Phil's P.O.V:

While waiting for Dil, Dan and I were checking the final preparation for his birthday. While he was at camp, we've been building a pool in the place. Dil doesn't know about it as we made sure we kept it a secret until his birthday. Dil's ghost friend, Noemi came to help us by using some of her magic to keep the surprise a secret.

Lots of magic stuff... I know.

During the times Dan doesn't have work (like today) and whenever Dil was at school and visits Summer for his magic practice, Noemi gives me some magic lessons as she believes that I may have potential. Dan just watches as I do the basic stuff like conjuring food or basic levitations. She also helped me master what I was born with... time prediction. After all that time we've spent together, the three of us decided to talk a bit.

"So Noemi... how long have you lived in Willow Creek?" Dan asked.

"I lived here for a long time" Noemi said.

"Any spouses when you were alive?" I asked.

"I had one but I died early due to cancer. He's still alive right now" Noemi said.
