Chapter 10: Summer Holiday

Dil's P.O.V:

I woke up but my vision was blurred. I can see some bright lights and some blurred faces. I took my time and after a minute or two, I can see Travis, the bar tender and 5 other girls around me.

"Where... Where am I?" I asked.

"Dude, we're just on the counter" said Annabeth. "Travis told me what just happened".

I tried to sit up but I was still weak. Travis and Annabeth tried to help me balance but I was still exhausted. The bar tender made a drink and gave it to me.

"Hey, drink this" the bar tender said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Let's just say it will help regain your strength" said the bar tender. "Don't worry, its safe".

He placed a straw and Travis held the glass for me as I took a sip. It did give back some strength but I was asked to take it slow. It tasted good though, like orange juice. Then the girl with the blue dress came to me.

"What you did, it was brave" said the girl.

"What? How?" I asked.

"You kidding? No guy can stand Erica's seductiveness!" said a girl with a darker blue dress and blonde hair. "She may be a b**** but you are the first one who broke her spell".

"Yeah, like seriously, she can make any guy in school do anything she wants!" said a girl with a white shirt, blue skirt and red hair.

"Hey, you're the new kid!" said the girl with a white dress and straight brown hair. "Dylan right?".

"Yeah" I said.

"You must be the adopted child of Dan and Phil!" said the girl who looks like Elsa. "My name is Summer, Summer Holiday".

"Dylan Howell-Lester" I said.

"Oh, we know who you are" said the white dressed girl. "My name is Courtney, the girl with the white shirt, thats Maria. The one with a darker blue dress, thats Misty Waters and you know Annabeth".

"Nice meeting you all" I said. "Normally, I struggle making friends".

"Well, thats London!" said Maria. "Now, you're in Willow Creek! Yo! Bar Tender, give some chips for Dil right here!"
The 7 of us hanged out, drinking and eating and trying to get to know each other. They're mostly trying to get to know me. Asking how it's like being the son of two of UK's biggest YouTubers and radio presenters. They also asked how London is liked or knowing that I was adopted.

The bar tender did some awesome tricks with the drinks and I tried doing one of them. It was a small failure but he said that I may have a gift.

But all I want to know is about Summer. She helped backed me up when I was fighting with Erica. Maria noticed me from behind, staring at Summer who's just looking at the window and came to me.

"Tell me about Summer" I said. "And why did she get involved?"

"Summer and Erica were best friends" said Misty. "They were like the female version of Dan and Phil, Summer being Phil and Erica being Dan. However, Summer got herself a boyfriend. But she didn't know that Erica likes him too".

"Are you telling the 'story'?" asked Annabeth. "Because its more than just some guy. Erica started to backstab Summer, exposing secrets and all that. But the worst part was when she made Summer's boyfriend cheat with her".

"Misty caught them cheating and showed it to Summer" said Courtney. "And that wasn't the first as Erica made Misty's boyfriend, fall in love with this girl name Zoe".

"From there, Erica was known as the b**** of Willow Creek" said Travis.

"And that rep, Erica now has the power to make any dumb guy do whatever she wants. Manipulate them in any way possible" said the Bar Tender.

I then walked to Summer who is still looking at the window. She saw me but just continued looking outside. There, she sees a couple, holding hands and all.

"So, they told you the story didn't they?" Summer asked.

"I'm sorry" I said.

"I just don't get it, how were you not affected?" Summer asked.

"I was tormented back in London" I said. "People called me a queer just because I'm adopted".

"Don't let them get to you" said Summer.

I looked at Summer with that pretty face of hers. She's probably still upset on what happened between her and Erica.
"This may sound weird but I'm still looking for the Phil to my Dan and I just can't find that person" Summer said. "No boy wants to be with me anyway".

"What! That can't be true" I said.

"If a boy tried to go near me, Erica will try to hurt me" said Summer. "I had 3 ex boyfriends due to this. All fallen under Erica".

"No... that can't be true" I said.

We both looked outside, I noticed no stars and tears falling down Summer's face. I let her face me as I wiped them off with my finger.

"Do you know why there aren't any stars in the sky?" I asked. "Because they're in your eyes".

Summer smiled and we both leaned in and as we are about to kiss. Everyone in the room stayed silent as they know this is a big moment. Then suddenly, Erica came to the room.

"I see you are falling for Summer hey?" said Erica.
That blew the moment.

"You twat!" said Annabeth.

"Oh, so I can't enter here? Isn't this a free country?" Erica asked. "Oh well...".

Erica left and nothing happened. It was too awkward for us. Everyone felt bad as this was a big moment.
"That b****" said the bar tender.

"Amen to that" the 7 of us said.
