Epilogue: Dil's 18th Birthday

Dil's P.O.V:

Finally, it's all over. The battle has ended and we made it just in time to celebrate my birthday. All of my family and friends have arrived as I'm finally growing up. I'm about to become an adult and my life right now... is finally in place. Sure, there were some bumps and enemies along the way, but at least I managed to get pass through them. And now, I'm having a normal birthday party. It was a pool party and Bob was the only one who wanted to swim. All of us danced and ate and I finally was taught how to play poker with Tabitha, Travis and Elisa.

Erika came and visit and thanked me for freeing her from Preston but we decided to not meet each other as things have became awkward between us.

"So, see you next time... bro" Erika said.

"So long sis" I said.

My boss, Jared came over and made drinks for us and as usual, we are all having a great time. Dan and Phil were proud of me as I managed to get this far on my own.

"See Dil, I told you things will get better" Dan said. "You have accomplished so many things in under a year of moving here, you saved a town, got a girlfriend and now... you are free!"

Then midnight came and the family, Summer, Eliza and Tabitha came to see me choose between magic or logic. Noemi came as well to see her son change from a young boy to an adult. This time, Noemi played the priest and started the ritual.

"Dylan Howell-Lester, your time has come... you only have one choice. What will it be, logic or magic?" Noemi asked. "If you chose logic, you will have the capacity to learn more advanced and complex things and are free to leave whenever time you want. Magic makes you powerful on the gift your ancestors gave you but it also mean you being captive in in Willow Creek. You can only chose once".

I was then in the decision process. A warm feeling came around my body as not only transforms me into an adult but give out my decision. I closed my eyes then opened them and I chose logic. At least I managed to free the town from it's curse from the past. My body glowed a bit then it wore off. Dan and Phil caught me and I tried to use magic, but nothing happened. The deed was done.

"Wait... how come Phil can use magic and still able to leave freely?" Tabitha asked.

"He used it outside of Willow Creek meaning he isn't bound to it. If Dil used his magic outside of Willow Creek first, then he wouldn't have to be doing this" Noemi said.

Noemi and Summer felt the magic disappearing and the town was fully free. Noemi faded away as she can no longer stay and Summer felt like she broke free from a cage. Even if I was free from magic, I can still create small amounts of emotional auras.

12:15 AM and it was time to wrap it up. Everyone left while Tabitha gave me a goodbye kiss.

"Even if this whole magic thing is over... I'm glad I've met you" she said. "I love you Dil"

"I love you too... and if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to save everyone" I said.

"Dag Dag!" Tabitha said (Dag Dag is Simlish for goodbye).

Phil's P.O.V:

Dan and I watched Dil say goodbye to Tabitha as we start to clean up the house. Dil came back inside and actually offered to clean the dishes.

"Are you sure Dil?" Dan asked.

"Trust me... I can do it" Dil said.

Dil got all the dishes and started to wash them. We watched him as he finally acts like an adult, being responsible and all.

"He's finally growing up" I said.

CRASH!!!! A broken plate.

"Maybe not" Dan said.

And after years of struggle and finally becoming adult... the sun sets on Dil's birthday, and from there, a new chapter begins...
