Chapter 9: The Fight for Love

Dil's P.O.V:

Erica slammed the door and she didn't even stayed for around an hour. In fact... It was less than an hour! That was just 30 minutes of resentment and arguing about our ideas and opinions. There wasn't even a single apology. My friends are right, she really is bad news... and I was just victimized by her clutches. I cried as I banged my head against the wall which is next to my bedroom door as I now regret what I've done.

Why did I fall for her? Why did she do this to me? What's wrong with me? Why is it so hard to make a friend?

Dan and Phil came to me and gave me a hug, trying to console me. They must have heard. OFF COURSE THEY DID!!!! They must have listened through the walls!

"It's ok Dil" Phil said. "Things will get better".

"No..." I said. "You've been telling me that for the past 4 years. And the outcomes have been s*** to me".

I left the house and walked through town. I needed to have some time on my own... and away from my parents and my friends. I just need some time to reflect. As I was walking, Travis saw me feeling down in the blues. He came to me and asked what happened. As usual... I told him the cold hard truth.

"Oh dude..." said Travis. "Well, me and Annabeth did warn you about Erica. But what she did to you... she really is a b****. I know, lets go for a drink!"

"What? But I'm underage!" I said.

"No... we are going to an minor bar. No alcohol... Just food and ginger ale" Travis said.

We walked to this 'underage' bar and outside, we see Erica in a new dress. A blue one actually. Travis and I were shocked to see her as Travis tells me that this is the first time Erica arrived to this place.

"Dude, what's she doing here?" Travis asked.

"How should I know... I'm new" I said.

Erica saw us and just entered the bar. Things became awkward for us. Me and Travis then entered, 5 minutes after Erica did. The bar had a bit of a western look but it was 'underage' safe. Travis left to get drinks and I was just sitting on the chairs. Someone then tapped me on the back. I turned around and it was Erica.

"Hey" I said.

"Hi" said Erica.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Do you have some spare cash?" asked Erica.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because, I just want to buy a drink" she said... with the voice.

Erica was coming close to me. Putting her arms around me and being a bit sexual. I was about to give in but I just realized what she's doing. She's going to use me! I've seen Dan and Phil being seductive just to get away with things! For them, its ok since they're married but for me and Erica... not a chance. I pushed her off and stood up.

"No!" I said. "You're not doing this to me!"

Erica stood up and she was a bit in pain. She was getting closer but I walked off.

"What's wrong Howtler?" Erica asked. "There's nothing wrong on sharing!".

"Erica, you treated me like crap in my own home!" I said. "You hated the mess, you criticized my parents and it ain't cool!"

"So?" Erica asked. "You are falling for me aren't you? Isn't it that you would try to do anything for my love?"

"No..." I said sadly.

"Dude, you really need to put up a pair!" Erica said. "You really are your parents. So conservative!"

That's when that hit me. I know I have been bullied before but this just hit an all new low. I ran up to her and slapped her on the face. She faced me and was about to punch my face but I dodged it. I then pushed her to the ground and I lifted my fist. Erica put her hands on the air, trying to block herself from my final move.

"What are you waiting for Howlter?" asked Erica. "Go on... finish it!"

I decided to walk away and walk to the counter where Travis is. I didn't want the town of Willow Creek to think of me as a jerk. I don't want people to get the wrong idea.

"Get back here! Finish it!" said Erica.

"No. I shouldn't change someone if they cant change themselves" I said. "So, I'll let you go. You really are the b**** in this town. Good luck in the future!".

"Quoting Phil hey? No wonder your a wuss!" said Erica.

"Hey! If you insult someone from the internet, you must be ugly from the inside!" said a girl who came out from the counter area, along with Travis.

Erica looked like a mess. She was humiliated in the bar. She ran and left and I looked on the girl who said that line. She was wearing a blue dress. She sort of looks like Elsa from Frozen. I was about to collapse till Travis gave the girl the tray of our drinks and ran to catch me.
