Chapter 14: Party at Howlter's

A/N: Sorry for the delay. I was really busy at school and working on a private project on MS Word that the series has to slow down for a bit!

Chapter 14: Party at Howlter's

TWO WEEKS LATER:
Dil's P.O.V:

Dan and Phil has made a bar in the lounge and I can see why they wanted me to wait for two weeks. Today is my birthday. I'm now 17 and the bar was a gift... well actually, they had no idea what to give to me so when they saw me practicing mixing drinks, they wanted me to continue working my skill. I don't mind, as long they don't embarrass me, I'm fine.

I invited a few of my friends but some overheard so I may be having some party crashers. And I can expect Erica to arrive. But nevertheless, it will be an awesome party.

6PM - SAME DAY

"Ok Dil, just remember to stay safe" Phil said.

"I will" I said.

"And don't do anything illegal!" Dan said.

"I know" I said.

"And if anything happens, call us" Dan and Phil said.

"Ok!!! Whatever!" I yelled.

Dan and Phil are getting excited for my first party, however they can't be there. They understand as they want me to be happy so they will try to not embarrass me by not bein there. By the time Dan and Phil left, I went to my room took a shower and then faced myself in the mirror, taking some deep breaths as I wear my party clothes. I know you guys are thinking... Me in a hotdog suit... Not going to happen! I got one of Dan's old tux and it fits me well. For some weird reason, the shower that I took got my heart racing.

Ding!!!

The guest has arrived. I opened the door and it was Travis and Annabeth. They were lovely as usual.

"Happy 17th Howlter!" said Travis as he gave me a high five.

"Happy birthday?" said Annabeth as she gave me a hug.

Minutes later, guest started to pile up. Some where my current friends, then my new friend then party crashers. But at least they aren't as terrible as in London. However... Erica arrived to my house. She pushed in and entered like she's royalty or something.

"Some party Howlter" said Erica.

"It's nice to see you too" I said sarcastically.

Everyone was at the lounge and nobody can access any of the rooms upstairs as Dan and Phil locked the doors. So no one can access their things. I locked my bedroom as well as I don't want anyone to snoop to my things. I walked to the bar and gave some drinks to the guest. Some drank and some just talked. I then see Erica sitting next to Summer. I became worried as Erica may manipulate Summer. But luckily, I managed to break the chat by 'accidentally' spilling wine at Erica.

"You jerk!" she said.

"Accidents happen!" I said. "I didn't mean to...".

Erica just left and walked away. She went to the other corner of the room just to party. Summer smiled at me as I think I gave her some relief.

"Everything ok?" I asked.

"Yeah" she said. "But you didn't have to do that".

"What did Pendelton say to you?" I asked.

"She wasn't manipulating me but she just told me that another new kid is coming to she school... Since she's part of student council" said Summer. "And..."

"And what?" I asked as I gave her a drink.

"She forced you to be her transfer buddy!" she cried. "And I think you will like her more than me and..."

"Summer... Summer, calm down" I said as I sat beside her. "I will always like you. To be honest, didn't we almost kissed?".

"Dylan, we only hanged out twice. One was two weeks ago. We never talked and stuff" Summer said. "You've been avoiding me all day and what Erica said scared me".

Suddenly, people started to leave. I can see it's now 8pm so I can see it's time for them to go. Summer was the only one left and I pulled her to my bedroom. She was confused but I have to redeem this night. I created this party just so we can hang... And let see if we can make this happen.

We both sat on my bed as I moved her hair off her face and placed them behind her ear. She blushed a bit and I think it's time to make my move.

"My love for you... Burns my heart and I will try to win you over" I said.

"Dylan... That was a weird pick up line" she laugh. "But it's cute".

I then went on top of her as she lies down on my bed. Her blonde hair messed up and me preying on her as we can feel gravity pulling us closer. I was then on top of her and we can feel the breath coming out of our mouth. Our lips were about to touch till...

"Dil.. We're home!" Phil said at the corridor.

Me and Summer flinched and left my bedroom. Dan and Phil saw us and we're confused at start... Then realised what they have done.

"Well... This was fun" said Summer. "Bye Dylan".

She gave me a hug and left the house. I became upset as we could have kissed or actually do it but it didn't. Dan and Phil has the shock emotion in their face. I had that sad mood on my face and then got mad at my parents.

"What just happened?" Dan asked.

"Simple... I lost my first kiss. Thanks to you guys!" I said. "Why, why did you have to yell that you're back?"

"Dil, we can explain!" Phil said.

"Too late!" I said.

I walked to my bedroom and locked the door. I cried on my bed, feeling regretful on what just happened. I wanted that kiss and it never happened. I then looked out the window and I can see someone on a while sweater running away. I gave is a close look and it looked like... Preston. Why was he near the area?

Preston was running away and I could no longer see him since it was the dark.

But overall... The worse birthday ever... Because I wanted my first kiss to be memorable.
