Chapter 3
Rachel's POV
I'm trying to ignore all of the chaos around me by blasting my music at full volume with my headphones on when I get tapped on the shoulder. I freeze. My dads always told me to never respond to strangers on the subway. Based on their experience, subways are one of the most common places for slimeballs to try to steal your money. The person taps me on the shoulder again. Forcing myself not to be paranoid, I turn around and I'm face to face with Mr. Schue. My face instantly lights up.
"Mr. Schue, what are you doing here?" I ask as I hug him. He laughs. "I'm here to try my hand at a Broadway career." I tilt my head in confusion. "That's awesome, but what Glee club and Ms. Pillsbury?" He sighs. "Emma and I got divorced recently and Glee club fell to shambles after Marley, Jake, and the rest of the crew graduated. Students just stopped signing up so Figgins cut the club altogether."
"That's a shame Mr.Schue. I'm really sorry. On the bright side, you're in the right place to make a new story for yourself and for your dreams to come true. Plus, I think it'll be awesome to have you around. I know Kurt and Santana would love to see you. You should come over for dinner tonight. None of us have any plans tonight."
"Rachel that sounds awesome, but I don't want to intrude." "That's nonsense Mr. Schue. You're like family to us. You're welcome to come over anytime." He reluctantly agrees and I smile knowing that once again, I Rachel Berry am victorious.
